Exploring Life & Business with Nicole Driscoll of Human Sweets n Doggy Treats

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Driscoll.

Hi Nicole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As I rescued dogs, I found many of them had sensitive tummies. I put my trust in companies that stated their products were all-natural. I quickly found that even those companies were using additives and preservatives that are not good for dogs. We kept working on coming up with recipes that our dogs loved and could eat without getting sick! There was a lot of failed recipes and my dogs let me know; However, we finally came up with recipes we trust and our dogs love. Now today, we have a lot of regular customers with dogs that previously couldn’t eat treats due to their sensitivities.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! Due to Covid, we had to abandon our original plans that went along with opening a location and had to take our business mobile focusing on mainly our treats. Being mobile also makes it difficult because we are a concept and people don’t always understand that. Being a mobile café and boutique for dogs and the people who love them can confuse those who don’t have fur babies. During this endeavor, we have also been rained out of events and lost product due to inclement weather conditions.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are the original mobile café and boutique that caters to both you and your dog! We offer healthy treats for dogs that are human-grade and limited ingredients, along with having NO additives or preservatives. While you’re stopping to get a treat for your dog, we have a human menu full of delicious sweets. The back of our trailer is our boutique section, which is full of dog-related novelties. We have an array of handmade items ranging from doggy accessories to home goods.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We rely heavily on our customers to follow us on social media and share our business. Due to social media and word of mouth, we have gained a good following of regular customers. We currently wholesale our frozen doggy Pupsicles to local bars/breweries.
