Hi Quintavius, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I stumble across an interest in real estate as a Junior in college; I was invited to real estate investor discussion meetings by a friend. The real estate investor was a mentor to both of us and inspired us with property tours of potential and purchase investments. He recommended considering real estate investing to anyone with a slight passion for real estate. Fast forward 7 years, I decided to embark on the real estate investing journey by joining clubs and associations. I realized by attending multiple events and property tours that having a foundational knowledge of home components was the difference for many savvy real estate investors. One day, I ran into an old co-worker that recently became a home inspector and informed me of the joy and benefits of performing inspections. After that conversation, I decided to do deep research on the profession and concluded this was the perfect occupation for my short and long-term goals. So, I became licensed inspector and started learning everything I could about the details of building inspections. From the inspection service side, I quickly saw how much the buyers, sellers, and realtors are relied on the inspection reports. I made every effort to provide a thorough home inspection and customer care as if every client was the first-time buyer or a novice. With the continued focus of providing a thorough inspection, customer service, and quick delivery of reports… I went from seeing 1-2 calls for schedule appointments per week to 15-25 calls for schedule calls for appointments. I quickly gather help to assist with the business workload and shortly discovered my “WHY” outside helping clients with the home inspection process. My “Why” consist of assisting men and women that don’t have multiple degrees (letters behind their name) but are willing learn and serve clients at the highest degree while making an honest living. Then the rest became history…
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Oh no, it hasn’t been smoothed at all. But it’s been worth the business growth and the person I became within every stage.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor is imperative to anyone’s success and should be sought after intentionally. When searching or finding a perspective mentor be attentive of what value you can add to your mentor. Remember, it’s better to give than receive, and mentors are willing to give but only to those that add value, have genuine intentions, and believe the advice will be utilize.
Adding value could be treating their staff to lunch, purchasing their book or product, and providing critical feedback for growth.
