Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Following on from covid, I knew two things. I wanted out of the standard corporate life and to travel more. This wasn’t just me. This was the feeling I got from friends and co-workers too. Covid changed everything for many people, and the world runs a little differently now. People have realized their priorities may be in different places, and their current lifestyle doesn’t align with that. With this in mind, I set up in business as an Independent Travel Agent, and a Travel Business Mentor enabling me to get others not only in Florida but across the whole US set up as licensed travel agents. I love booking travel, and I’m super passionate about it. Still, a different level of passion comes from giving somebody the coaching, support, and tools to set themselves up in a business that could change their life!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been much busier than I could have imagined! Everybody is looking to travel LIKE they’ve never traveled before, and I’m here for it! Growing my team quickly has been a huge benefit because I can now pass over the business to them when my workload is too high to meet the high standards I have for all my clients.
We’ve been impressed with Momente Travel, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We offer to travel across the whole globe! If it involves travel of any kind, we can help you. We source, plan, and execute every part of your vacation, including complimentary upgrades wherever possible. I also help people become independent travel agents in a record time, allowing them to benefit from the exponential growth we are seeing in travel now. We have a huge opportunity in Orlando because of the level of knowledgeable Disney fans. Everybody needs help planning a Disney vacation, and our specialists all tend to reside in or around Florida. Having come from a senior corporate position, I have always had large teams, so being able to combine experience with my travel Business is the reason for my huge successes.
The best part is you can become an independent travel agent with no experience – it’s your own business, so you don’t have any targets, and you make money from every holiday you book. The customer does not pay for our services, so there is every reason for customers to want the personal touch from us at no cost to them over a search engine.
What are your plans for the future?
In the next 12 months, I am visiting 18 countries because my travel business has opened many doors for me. I want to continue growing my client base and developing my network of luxury travel suppliers. And most of all, I want to help as many people, both in Florida and across the US, understand what a fantastic opportunity the travel industry can offer them right now by showing them how simple it is to set themselves up as independent travel agent.
