Exploring Life & Business with Rosangela Reyes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosangela Reyes.

Rosangela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in Real Estate almost 11 years ago in the country where I grew up, Venezuela! and I only came to Orlando on vacation. Before moving with my family to live in the United States, I always maintained my idea of dedicating myself to the same field that I worked in Venezuela, which was quite difficult for me, because in Venezuela I had plenty of what I did not have here… Clients! I worked very hard but unfocused the first 2 years and I didn’t know how to deal with all the changes, changes in my personal life, with my children, my husband and myself. The 3rd year I managed to focus, I began to work with very honest co-workers, I began to make friends and I strongly resumed my relationship with God. Today I feel that things happened quickly and in this, my 5th year in Real Estate, I can say that I am almost where I want to be. There were many sleepless nights, thinking what to do differently from others? how to do it? which way to take? all this mixed with feelings of guilt for not sharing enough with my children, that I hardly shared with my family, that I had other jobs because the bills had to be paid, but that moment came, thank God that he never abandoned me, and as I said previously, I feel that I am very close to reaching my precious goals.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it was not a smooth road. Many times I questioned myself if coming from Venezuela had been the best decision. There was always the need for approval from others and that sense of belonging that was deflated at the bottom of a closet. Leaving my own luxurious house for a small apartment without luxuries, changing my daughters’ private, bilingual, Catholic school for any school here was not easy, and like these I can name many more situations, which for some people can be banal, but for me they were my world and my responsibility.

As you know, we’re big fans of yours. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a real estate agent, I belong to one of the best real estate companies in the United States. I am dedicated to advising and preparing families to obtain a property, explaining all the steps they must follow and all the things they can and cannot do to reach a successful closing. What I want people to know about me is my effort and my greatest commitment in advising and helping families, basically, because I don’t sell properties, I prepare families to achieve their goals. Good service is my main goal, the commission is just a consequence

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important thing I have learned besides thanking God for everything is to be humble, orderly, not to notice the work of others and to focus on what I want.
