Hi Shaela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been fascinated with making girls feel beautiful through hair. From the age of 12, I started to practice doing friends and family first. Thanks to them because I wasn’t as advanced as I am now lol. I never thought about becoming a professional hairstylist but it’s always been a passion of mine. I decided in April 2020 to take a leap of faith in pursuing my passion. HairByJuicey. Yes, it was during the Covid-Pandemic. My intent in starting up my business during that time was to open up for the women who can’t do their own hair. I practiced more to become versatile. Started watching youtube videos to learn how to do different technique. I made Social Media accounts and started marketing from there. I was shocked at the feedback and support I received but I was glad I was able to put a smile on someone’s face when they get out of the chair.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly, it hasn’t been an easy road. Your work ethic has to match your hunger. Nothing will come easy you have to work for what you want. It has been a lot of trial and error trying to learn the right techniques to improve my work and get the right product that works best for me. All my hard is definitely paying off nothing comes overnight!

I am Shaela, and I am a hairstylist. I specialize in high hair care and a range of different services; weave installs, stitch braids, knotless plaits, faux locs, and more. A lot of love and careful thought is put into what I do. I am proud of the feedback I’ve been getting in such a short period of time with prayer, promotion, and content.
