Today we’d like to introduce you to Shylala Watson.
Hi Shylala, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In the middle of 2019, I had a rash that was mainly on my forehead and other area of my body. When me and my mother discovered that is was getting worse, she took me to the hospital. The doctor diagnose me tinea capitis. She prescribed me medicine to take for 7-14 days. Couple days later my mother when to go pick up the medicine. Ten minutes later, I got a call from saying that she can get the medicine because it expensive and I didn’t have insurance at the time. Now that I don’t have medicine to take, I had to to research to figure what I had and what could help it. Like a mouth later I found the lady on Instagram that sells product to help skin and hair disorders. I brought the product and try it for two mounts. The product was working but it was taking to long to heal. I am a dancer so I need is to heal fast.
At the time, I was in ten grader in biology class who just got assigned to study psoriasis. During the project felt like I had psoriasis because I had the symptoms. My scalp was red and I had a lot of flakes in my head. I did research on Psoriasis and found product that help heal it. By this time we are on quarantine. I went to the store and got all the products I need. Put it in one container and use it at least three time a week. I notice that my edges are growing back and my hair is healthier then ever. I started letting my mother and my sisters use it and the results they gave me was amazing. One sister said that she had a bald spot and when she started using the hair, grease hair started growing in that spot. For mounts, I let people test it. Around December, my mother gave me the idea that I should start selling the grease. I took it in to consider. I eventually said yes because I want to help people the is having the same problems I had. I spent all my birthday and Christmas money on bag, labels, logos, and bows. It took me a minute to figure what I want to name the business. The name I came up with is Lady Prez. I named it lady prez because we as lady are always pressed about our hair.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One thing I have been struggling with is sales. It is very hard to run a business at 17 years old when it your first time doing it. One thing I also notice is that people like to use certain thing in their. It is hard to get them to try a new product but once they try it the fall in love.

I am a 17 years old girl that went through a health problem so you didn’t have to. I brought my hair grease (Ladyprez) into the world to share with you. I was very scared that my hair and my edges was not going to grow back. But with this miracle product that I have created, I am very certain the our hair will be long and lushes.

Beside all the research I did, I listen to other small business owner. They have given me so much advice. I also watch YouTube to help me help you. That who is it about YOU!
