Exploring Life & Business with The Mouselets

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Mouselets.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are three siblings who have always loved going to Disney, ever since we were little kids. In 2017, we had a Disney trip planned and decided we wanted to make a blog to share about our trips. Four years later and our brand has grown more than we ever it thought it could. We’ve expanded to several social media platforms, have a blog, and own a store.

The Mouselets came from a phrase our family, friends used to use on Disney trips. They jokingly called themselves the “Micklets” (play on Mickey). We used this phrase to create our own name, “The Mouselets”. We wanted something unique and defining to us and something that would set us apart from other accounts. Since then, the name has stuck.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been some challenges over the past four years. We have no experience with blogging, no background in social media, and had never designed a product before. We’ve learned every step of the way and made mistakes. But with each one, we continue to learn and improve.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The Mouselets is a Disney inspired business. Our goal has always been to provide information to Disney fans, and we specialize in sharing Disney facts and tips. For over four years, we have shared a unique Disney fact every single day. Our facts range from simple tidbits, like the Utilidor tunnels under Magic Kingdom, to obscure facts, like the 13 diamond plaque in the Tower of Terror. Anyone who wants to learn more about Disney history, facts, and tips for the parks would enjoy our social media and blog!

Two years ago, we opened our own store. We sell magical-inspired bags and fannypacks as well as other small Disney-inspired gifts. We’ve grown our business to be a secondary income for ourselves. It’s a lot of hard work – designing all of our products by ourselves, contacting factories, and packing and shipping all the orders. Our parents are a big help in making all of this possible.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Our favorite childhood memory at Disney was pretty special. When we were 5, 8, and 10, we were selected to be the family that opened Disney’s MGM Studios for the day. We did a special countdown of ‘lights, cameras, action” and got a photo of it. It’s Disney magic like that that always keeps us coming back!
