Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa Smith.
Theresa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story began with my current store Positive Influence Apparel and more (www.shoppositiveinfluence.com). I wanted to make a difference in the world by adding more uplifting messages. While building the company, I had to learn product photography and started to assist my church with photos. As my skills increased, people were admiring my photos. I decided to venture into other areas of photography such as portraits, events and more to help fund Positive Influence Apparel.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started photography less than a year and as a startup company it has been challenging to get clients. Some of the challenges are due to the economy, competition with other photographers, and marketing. Slowly, I am overcoming those challenges by advertising and improving my skills to compete with other photographers.

Theresa S. Smith Photography is DBA through Positive Influence Apparel and more. As an entrepreneur, my mission is to empower individuals through positive influence. In a world where many feel broken, lost, and confused, I believe that pervasive negative information only adds to the challenge. That’s why I am committed to promoting positive influence, aiming to counteract negativity and foster a more uplifting environment. Throughout this venture I fell in love with photography after photographing my product (product photography). In my journey as a photographer, I have dedicated myself in capturing precious moments through portraits (self and family), events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), business branding, maternity and more. What sets me apart from the rest is my editing style and my positive mission. While some photographers specialize in light and airy, moody and other styles, I tend to endeavour a into natural and vibrant setting. I believe color adds life. My most proud brand wise in photography is “capturing life’s significant events” while other business is “lets wash away negativity together”.
I service Apopka, Orlando and other cities in Orange and Seminole County Florida. The types of photography services I offer are family, couples, maternity, self portraits, headshots, personal branding and more.
