Exploring Life & Business with Tuilla Barros of Lin Rentals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tuilla Barros.

Hi Tuilla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My entrepreneurial journey began in 2008 when I created a blog called **Vida Cor de Rosa** (pink life). At the time, I shared women’s lifestyle content, fashion tips, beauty advice, and affordable clothing finds. Over time, I built a loyal audience and realized that people trusted my recommendations. That led me to use the same brand name to open my first women’s clothing store.

A few years later, I was invited to be a bridesmaid in a wedding and struggled to find a dress that matched exactly what I wanted. I decided to design my own dress in partnership with a seamstress. Since I was already sharing my daily life on social media, I posted photos wearing the dress, and to my surprise, many people asked if they could rent it. That was the beginning of my formalwear rental business for proms, weddings, bridesmaids, and special events under the **Vida Cor de Rosa** brand (Instagram: @lojavidacorderosa).

Over the years, I continued to pursue opportunities in different industries, always focusing on identifying real market needs and creating solutions.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many of my businesses were affected by restrictions and unable to operate normally, I saw a new opportunity. Since the food industry was one of the few sectors allowed to continue operating through delivery services, I became a partner in the creation of **LL Burger** (Instagram: @llburgeroficial). What started as a solution during a challenging period quickly grew, expanded, and eventually developed into a franchise model. Today, LL Burger is still operating, and I remain a partner in two locations.

The idea for **Lin Rentals** (Instagram: @linrentals) came from my personal experience as a mother. I have two daughters, and I always noticed how much the theme park experience improves when children are comfortable and able to rest throughout the day. During my visits to Orlando, I realized that having a quality stroller made a tremendous difference not only for the children but also for the parents’ overall experience.

At the same time, I had a goal of expanding my business activities into the United States and building assets in U.S. dollars. After researching the local market, I identified the same need among thousands of families visiting Orlando every year. That is when I decided to launch **Lin Rentals** (Instagram: @linrentals), providing premium strollers and mobility solutions that help families enjoy their vacations more comfortably.

From the beginning, my focus was not simply to create a company, but to build an organized and scalable operation. I structured the entire business online, developing manuals, processes, training programs, and systems that allow the company to operate efficiently without requiring my physical presence on a daily basis.

Today, all of my businesses operate this way: through clearly documented processes, trained teams, and trusted people who have been educated within the culture and management systems I developed over the years. My role has evolved from daily operations to strategic leadership, growth planning, and business development. I currently manage my businesses remotely, focusing on strategy, leadership, and expansion rather than day-to-day operations.

Alongside building my businesses, I have always used social media as a strategic tool to attract customers organically. By consistently sharing behind-the-scenes content, my entrepreneurial journey, daily routines, successes, and challenges, I built strong communities that naturally connected with my brands and services.

Over the years, social media became not only a marketing channel for my businesses but also a business itself. In addition to generating customers for my companies, I have worked with brand partnerships, advertising campaigns, sponsored content, and digital marketing projects, collaborating with companies in both Brazil and the United States.

In addition to running my businesses, I help other entrepreneurs understand what I consider the fundamentals of sustainable growth: creating processes, documenting responsibilities, delegating tasks, building reliable teams, and transitioning from working in the business to working on the business. Many entrepreneurs become overwhelmed because they struggle to delegate, and my mission is to show that it is possible to build companies that do not depend entirely on the owner’s daily involvement.

The internet continues to play an important role in my journey. Today, I create content across three Instagram profiles:

• **@barrostuilla** – where I share my life as an entrepreneur, mother, and Brazilian living in the United States.

• **@tuillagestao** – focused on leadership, management, systems, and business growth, where I share practical insights for managers and business owners.

• **@tuillaemorlando** – dedicated to Disney and Orlando, providing travel tips, park recommendations, and vacation planning advice for families visiting the area.

Currently, most of my audience is Brazilian, but I am gradually expanding my businesses and content to reach the American market as well.

My story has been defined by reinvention, adaptability, and continuous growth. What started as a simple blog evolved into businesses, digital communities, and opportunities that have allowed me to impact thousands of people. I believe my greatest strength has been the ability to transform real-life needs into structured businesses, creating sustainable operations that can thrive beyond the founder’s daily presence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it was definitely not an easy or smooth journey.

When people look at the results I have today, they often do not see the years of learning, mistakes, trial and error, and starting over that happened behind the scenes. My journey was built much more through hands-on experience than theory.

One of the biggest challenges was that I had to learn everything from scratch. I did not come from an entrepreneurial family, and I had no management experience when I started. For many years, I was what I like to call a “one-person company.” I was responsible for virtually every area of my businesses.

Before I could delegate responsibilities, I had to personally work in every department. I learned sales, customer service, purchasing, inventory management, marketing, finance, hiring, training, leadership, operations, and business management. Many times, I learned through mistakes, adjustments, and trying again.

This process required a tremendous amount of time and energy, but it was essential for understanding how every department functioned and how all areas needed to work together for the business to succeed. Only after gaining a deep understanding of each stage of the operation was I able to begin documenting processes, creating manuals, developing training programs, and building systems that could be successfully executed by others.

Learning how to delegate was one of the greatest challenges of my career. Like many entrepreneurs, I believed that no one could do things as well as I could. Over time, I realized that real growth happens when you stop being the center of everything and create systems that allow the business to operate without depending entirely on your presence.

Another extremely challenging period was the COVID-19 pandemic. Like thousands of business owners around the world, I was directly impacted by restrictions and economic uncertainty. Businesses that had taken years to build were forced to temporarily close their doors, and for the first time, I faced the uncertainty of not knowing what the following months would look like.

However, it was during that difficult period that I learned one of the most important lessons of my entrepreneurial life: every crisis also creates opportunities.

While many industries were unable to operate normally, the food delivery sector continued to grow. By recognizing that shift, I became a partner in the creation of LL Burger. In many ways, it felt like starting a business from scratch during one of the most challenging economic environments in recent history. What began as a response to a crisis eventually became a successful company that expanded and continues to operate today.

The pandemic reinforced something I still believe strongly today: adaptability is one of the most important skills an entrepreneur can have. We cannot always control what happens around us, but we can control how we respond.

Another major challenge was moving to the United States and adapting to an entirely new market. Beyond cultural differences, I had to learn new consumer behaviors, new business practices, and how to build companies in a completely different environment from where I started my entrepreneurial journey.

At the same time, I had to balance business growth with motherhood. Raising two daughters while building multiple businesses required organization, discipline, and the ability to focus on what truly generated results.

Looking back, I realize that all of those difficulties played an important role in shaping the entrepreneur I am today. My mistakes taught me as much as my successes. The difficult moments forced me to develop skills that I may never have learned in more comfortable circumstances.

Perhaps the greatest lesson from this entire journey has been understanding that entrepreneurship is not about working more hours—it is about building processes, developing leaders, documenting knowledge, and creating businesses that can grow without depending on the founder’s constant presence.

That is exactly how I operate today. My businesses run through systems, processes, and trained teams. My role has evolved from performing operational tasks to leading, making strategic decisions, and developing new opportunities. It is this knowledge and experience that I now share with other entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses without becoming prisoners of them.

As you know, we’re big fans of lin rentals. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Today, my companies operate in different industries, but they all share the same philosophy: creating real solutions for real problems through well-structured processes and a strong focus on customer experience.

**Vida Cor de Rosa** (Instagram: @lojavidacorderosa) is my main company and the business that started my entire entrepreneurial journey. What began as a blog in 2008 evolved into a recognized brand, first in women’s fashion and later in formal dress rentals for proms, weddings, bridesmaids, and special events. More than just a business, Vida Cor de Rosa represents the foundation of my personal brand and the starting point of everything I have built throughout the years.

The company that currently receives much of my attention in the United States is **Lin Rentals** (Instagram: @linrentals), a company specializing in premium stroller rentals, mobility scooters, and family travel equipment for visitors coming to Orlando. Our mission is simple: to make family vacations more comfortable, practical, and enjoyable for both parents and children.

What differentiates us is that the company was created from personal experience. As a mother of two daughters and a frequent visitor to Orlando long before moving to the United States, I understood firsthand the challenges families face while visiting the parks. Because of that, we built an operation focused on quality, convenience, and exceptional customer service.

I am also a partner in **LL Burger** (Instagram: @llburgeroficial), a burger restaurant that was created during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a response to a difficult economic moment evolved into a strong and growing brand that continues to operate successfully today.

In addition to my companies, social media has become an important part of my business activities. Over the years, I have built an organic audience by sharing my daily life, motherhood, entrepreneurship, business operations, and my experience as a Brazilian living in the United States.

Today, I manage three primary Instagram profiles:

• **@barrostuilla** – where I share my life as an entrepreneur, mother, and Brazilian living in the United States.

• **@tuillagestao** – focused on leadership, management, business systems, and entrepreneurship.

• **@tuillaemorlando** – dedicated to Disney, Orlando, and travel tips for visitors.

In addition to using social media to support my own businesses, I also work with advertising campaigns, sponsored content, brand partnerships, and marketing collaborations for other companies. My content has always been based on authentic experiences, which has allowed me to build a highly engaged community and generate results both for my own businesses and for brands that choose to work with me.

Another key differentiator across all of my businesses is customer service. From the very beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, I have believed that having a great product is not enough. The way customers are treated, the speed of communication, and the support provided after the sale are just as important as the product or service itself.

For that reason, I built a company culture centered around responsiveness, quality, customer care, and after-sales support. Even with businesses operating remotely through trained teams, I have developed systems and processes that ensure customers receive quick responses and feel supported throughout their entire experience with us.

I am especially proud that much of the growth of my companies has come through referrals from satisfied customers. I believe trust is built through consistency and attention to detail, and that outstanding customer service remains one of the strongest competitive advantages any business can have.

Perhaps what most differentiates my journey is not a specific product, but the way I build businesses.

Over the years, I have developed a management approach based on processes, documentation, training, and delegation. My goal has always been to create companies that can grow without depending on the constant presence of the founder. Because of this, I invested significant time learning every aspect of my businesses, documenting operations, and creating systems that could be executed by well-trained teams.

Today, I am proud to say that my companies operate through people, processes, and organizational culture—not through my physical presence.

What I am most proud of as a brand is authenticity. I never built businesses solely to sell products or services. I have always focused on sharing real experiences, solving real problems, and creating genuine connections with the people who follow my work.

If there is one thing I would like readers to know about my brands, it is that every one of them was born from a personal need or real-life challenge. Each business began with identifying a problem, finding a solution, and transforming that solution into a structured company capable of creating a positive impact in the lives of others.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If there is one message I would like readers to take away from my story, it is that success rarely happens overnight.

What people often see today is the result of many years of learning, mistakes, adjustments, sacrifices, and persistence. Every business I built started small, and each one taught me valuable lessons that I carried into the next venture.

I also believe that entrepreneurship is not about doing everything yourself forever. In the beginning, I had to learn every aspect of my businesses and become what I often call a “one-person company.” However, true growth happened when I learned how to document processes, build systems, trust people, and delegate responsibilities.

Another lesson I have learned is that challenges often create opportunities. Some of the most important decisions in my career were made during difficult moments, including the pandemic and the process of starting over in a new country. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying open to change.

I would also like readers to know that it is possible to build successful businesses while staying true to your values. Throughout my journey, I have prioritized authenticity, relationships, customer experience, and long-term trust. I believe that people connect with people before they connect with products.

Today, I continue to learn, grow, and build. My goal is not only to expand my businesses but also to help other entrepreneurs understand that growth becomes much more sustainable when you focus on systems, leadership, and people rather than trying to do everything yourself.

Most importantly, I hope my story encourages others to take action, even when they do not feel completely ready. Many opportunities in my life started because I was willing to try, learn, adapt, and keep moving forward despite uncertainty.

You do not need to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes, the first step is what creates the path.
