Exploring Life & Business with Viviane of OakByte Studio Web Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Viviane.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Brazil and moved to New York City in 2005, where I began my career in the hospitality industry. In 2012, my family and I relocated to Orlando, Florida, and that’s when I transitioned into the tech world, working for companies like Xerox, Atos, and Oracle.

After several years in corporate technology roles, I realized I wanted to use my technical skills in a more creative and independent way. That inspired me to launch OakByte Studio Web Design, a business dedicated to helping small local businesses establish and elevate their online presence. Today, I combine my technical background with a passion for design to create websites that not only look great but also help businesses grow and connect with their communities.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There were struggles, being a woman going into tech after having a kid – tech is a male dominated field and even when you are not a mom is already challenging for women. But I had great mentors and I learned a lot at the companies I worked for.

As you know, we’re big fans of OakByte Studio Web Design. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I founded OakByte Studio Web Design to make professional website design accessible to small businesses and freelancers who don’t have unlimited budgets. I understand firsthand the challenges of getting a business off the ground with limited resources, and my goal is to help others build a strong online presence without the overwhelm or high costs often associated with web design, graphic design and branding. I also offer services like website maintenance, Social Media Management and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

At OakByte Studio, I take pride in going above and beyond for the clients who trust me with their dream of becoming business owners. Every project is personal — I treat each website as a reflection of the client’s hard work, vision, and determination.

Web design allows me to bring together everything I’ve learned throughout my career — from hospitality and customer service to technology and creativity. It’s incredibly rewarding to use those combined skills to create websites that not only look great but also help small businesses grow and thrive.

Any big plans?
My plan is to grow a business that elevates the community and helps people. I am also looking to pick a charity/non-profit to receive web design/social media services free of charge for 6 months in 2026.
