Today we’d like to introduce you to Yuan Louisa Li
Hi Yuan Louisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in China, a place rich in history and culture, and I spent my formative years there. Ten years ago, I made a life-changing decision to move to the United States, a land filled with new opportunities. For much of my time here, I worked at Disney, which taught me the importance of hospitality, attention to detail, and making dreams come true for others. While I enjoyed my time there, I always felt that I was searching for something more, a career that would challenge me and allow me to grow in ways I hadn’t yet imagined.
That moment of change came shortly after the pandemic, a time when the world seemed to shift in unexpected ways. Like many, I began to reflect on what truly mattered to me. That’s when I discovered real estate—a profession that not only allowed me to learn something new every day but also gave me the chance to serve families in the most meaningful way possible. Helping people find their dream homes is a deeply rewarding experience. I quickly realized that this wasn’t just a career; it was my calling.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found a path that aligns so well with my passions. The journey has been amazing, filled with growth, challenges, and an immense sense of gratitude. I’m excited for the future and look forward to continuing to help families build their futures, one home at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As an immigrant, there are always unique challenges to face—learning a new language, adapting to different cultural norms, and building a support network from scratch. When I first moved to the United States, I was constantly navigating unfamiliar terrain, both personally and professionally. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perseverance.
Last year, I also embarked on the most fulfilling and challenging role of my life: becoming a new mom. Balancing motherhood and a growing career in real estate has been a delicate act, but it has also given me a deeper sense of purpose. Being a mother has enhanced my understanding of what it means to create a home, a place where families can grow and thrive. It’s given me even more empathy and insight into the emotional aspects of finding the right home for my clients.
While the challenges have been significant, they’ve also shaped me into the person and professional I am today. Each obstacle has provided an opportunity for growth, and I feel stronger and more determined than ever to succeed, both as a mother and in my career.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For anyone just starting out in real estate, my biggest piece of advice is to be patient and persistent. Real estate is not a career where success comes overnight—it’s built on relationships, trust, and hard work. Don’t be discouraged if things don’t happen right away. It takes time to develop your network and build a reputation.
Another key piece of advice is to always be willing to learn. Real estate is an ever-evolving field, and every client, transaction, and home is unique. Be open to learning from each experience, whether it’s a challenge you’re facing or a success you’re celebrating. The more you know, the better you can serve your clients.
Lastly, find your “why.” For me, real estate is about serving families and helping them build a future. Knowing your purpose will keep you grounded when things get tough and motivated to keep pushing forward. It’s a journey, and if you love what you do and put in the effort, success will follow.
