Exploring Life & Business with Zachary Kent of Flawless Victory Fitness LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zachary Kent.

Hi Zachary, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when I was young my father was in the army and he made us PT with him in the mornings and I loved it. Growing up because of what my father did I loved exercising. If anyone was doing an exercise even if I already just finished an exercise I would join them and do more. I played soccer, basketball, I even did gymnastics when I was a kid. I was never fat until I started driving semi and even then it took 2 years for my body to slow down to even gain weight. I finally had enough when I felt my body go weak when I tried to lift a computer up in the truck my arm went limp. That is when I called the recruiter for the marine corps. I was able to get in and lost lots of weight and I was in the best shape of my life I had a six pack and a nice chest. We PT every morning I loved it I even started double training doing weights before I had to PT I would wake up at 0300 and PT was at 0500. It wasn’t tell I got to my second unit that they didn’t PT as much so I started gaining weight again. I love to eat so exercise is great to keep the weight off however I had to go back to semi driving and gained weight again. Now I am loosing and doing races and training people to become the healthiest version of themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a rough road because lots of sitting and eating yet not able to get out and train while driving semi

We’ve been impressed with Flawless Victory Fitness LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ok where to start I train people like I train myself. I have a no excuses policy. I am still a marine and train like one. The goal of flawless victory fitness is to train everyone to be general athletes. Think way back of what our ancestors had to do they had to run they had to train for survival and that is being a general athlete. That is where we are trying to get people to realize we are killing ourselves slowly. We need to get back to our primal instincts and move like it. Climbing trees going barefoot and all the above. We also train specifically for events so if someone has something they are training for as in baseball or soccer then we train them for that. We have a saying we don’t train muscles we train movement patterns. At flawless victory fitness we don’t train you tell you get it right we train you tell you can’t get it wrong.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a monkey I climbed I ran I was a hyper active child always getting into trouble lol. I was always eating and playing in nature. It was great. We were poor so we always tried to have a garden and have fresh vegetables and that is how I eat now. Fresh and fermented foods. I loved the outdoors camping hiking (I am from Utah). If I could say the one sport I wish I did it would have been gymnastics and tumbling. Oh and rugby
