Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Elizundia Lopez.
Hi Adriana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Cuba, a nation currently fighting for its freedom. I am the only child of wonderful parents who taught me to fight for life and to see beyond what I could see or imagine. I spent my childhood in the countryside with my beloved family, and with great effort, I managed to study and graduate with a degree in law. It was then that I began to see the reality of Cuba—a country without freedom.
I pursued my career, but the lack of opportunities and my desire to achieve more in life led me to emigrate. I arrived in the United States in December 2006, in the midst of a crisis, eight months pregnant, with my four-year-old son, a suitcase containing very few belongings, and a heart full of dreams and hope.
Eighteen years have passed, but I still remember that day vividly and feel once again the divine sensation of freedom as the plane landed in Miami. It was there that the strongest—yet most divine—adventure of my life began.
I started as a banquet waitress at the Hilton Hotel in West Palm Beach, then worked as a waitress at the Old Cuban Café restaurant in Orlando. In 2009, eager to resume my legal career, and after many attempts, God opened the doors to attorney Ronnie Henderson’s office. I attended an interview and was hired. Ronnie and his team welcomed me with open arms, and there I forged a wonderful path of learning in this great profession. It was also where I discovered my deep passion for real estate.
In 2016, after much encouragement from Ronnie and the support of my family, I took the exam and obtained my real estate license in the state of Florida. That’s when my greatest adventure truly began.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
At first, it was difficult. Although I started with a good clientele, my real estate income wasn’t enough to cover all my expenses. I ended up going into debt with my parents twice.
The first time was when I had just started, and sales weren’t sufficient. To make ends meet, I began selling timeshares while continuing to dedicate my spare time to real estate. I eventually paid off the debt and returned to real estate full-time. Unfortunately, that attempt didn’t work out either—sales still weren’t enough to cover my expenses, and once again, I went into debt with my parents.
So I returned to working at a law firm in downtown Orlando as an employee. After my workday, I would dedicate my evenings to my beloved real estate career. I paid off the second debt, and after a little more than a year, I had saved $3,000. With that, I decided to take a leap of faith and leave the firm.
On December 23rd, I told my family—once again—that I would be returning to real estate full-time. I know they had lost some trust in my decision, but something deep inside told me not to give up, to try one more time. That’s when my father looked at me and said, “Go ahead and give it your all.” It was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment.
So I did. And thank God—we made it.
On December 24th, 2020, as soon as I made that decision, the phone started ringing, and clients began to come in. That’s when God opened incredible doors of opportunity for me.
The year 2021 started off with great momentum. We were able to help many families buy and sell their homes. Not only were we able to sustain our income from real estate—we surpassed what we had been earning in our previous jobs. For the first time, we were recognized as a Top Agent in the market.
In 2022, things exploded even more—both in sales and recognition. And in 2023 and 2024, our numbers multiplied. We continued to stand out as some of the best agents in the market, winning the Excellence Award and the Top 7 Stars in the Market for four consecutive years.
In 2024, we also achieved a long-held dream: we partnered and began investing in real estate. It was a vision we had been hoping for, and thanks to God and the help of our business partner, it became a reality—and a true blessing.
I know this is just the beginning. We have big goals and a deep desire to continue growing in both the real estate and rental sectors. In 2021, we obtained our Broker License and were affiliated with a firm for almost four years. Now, in April 2025, we’ve opened Elizundia Luxury Realty LLC, our very own company.
From this new foundation, we aim to offer luxury real estate services to all communities and expand in every area of the real estate industry. We want to help other agents succeed and grow without limits.
Throughout all these years, we’ve had the honor of serving thousands of families across Florida—and we want to continue being of service, helping others achieve success just as we have.
I am a blessed mother, daughter, and wife. My family is my greatest treasure, and they give me the strength I need to keep moving forward.
