Hidden Gems: Meet Alysha Jimenez of Alymarie Music

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysha Jimenez

Alysha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been in love with music since I was 8, teaching myself to play piano and never looking back. Growing up in a musical family, I was surrounded by melodies and rhythms that fueled my passion. Right after high school, I jumped into teaching and have been doing it for almost ten years now with my business, Alymarie Music.

I love writing songs and performing for my friends and family. Music is such a big part of my life that I can’t imagine living without it. It’s more than just something I do – it’s who I am.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t always been smooth. I’ve faced judgment from college graduates and music majors, which sometimes made me feel like an imposter because I’m self-taught. Despite these challenges, I can read music and play my melodies just as well, and I’ve learned to trust in my skills and passion for music.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Alymarie Music?
At Alymarie Music, I specialize in virtual piano lessons for all ages and skill levels. My teaching style is known for its comfort and big energy, making every lesson engaging and enjoyable. What truly sets me apart is the sense of community I foster; all of my students become a part of my musical family for life.

I’m most proud of my authenticity and the genuine connections I build with my students. Being true to myself allows me to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. This authenticity helps me connect on a deeper level, understanding each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and musical aspirations.

Ensuring that my students enjoy what they are learning is my top priority. I tailor my lessons to match their interests and goals, making the experience both fun and rewarding. Whether it’s through selecting pieces that resonate with them, introducing creative exercises, or celebrating their progress, I strive to keep their passion for music alive. By focusing on enjoyment and personal connection, I help my students develop a lifelong love for piano and music in general.

I offer both 30 and 60-minute lessons, tailored to fit the needs of each individual. Additionally, I provide a keyboard with membership sign-up, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to succeed. My goal is to make learning piano accessible, fun, and a meaningful part of your life.

What are your plans for the future?
One of my biggest dreams for the future is to open my own studio suite, creating a home base for Alymarie Music. I envision a space where I can expand my teaching offerings, host recitals, and build an even stronger sense of community for my students. My studio will be a place where creativity thrives, and where students of all ages can come together to learn and grow in their musical journey. I’m excited thinking about the possibilities and the opportunity to make Alymarie Music a central hub for piano education and inspiration.
