Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Edwards.
Hi Anna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Mouse Wife Adventures was born from one of those serendipitous, meant-to-be moments you only seem to stumble upon while traveling. On my honeymoon, I met a wonderful woman named Barbara, a travel advisor with a heart for adventure, and we instantly bonded over our mutual love for exploring new places. As we traded stories, she paused, smiled, and said, “You’d be amazing at this.” That simple spark of encouragement planted a seed I couldn’t ignore — and over time, it quietly blossomed into something much bigger. To this day, Barbara and I remain close friends, and she’s one of my biggest cheerleaders, mentors, and supporters as I continue to learn and grow in this beautiful industry.
Although I officially launched Mouse Wife Adventures in May 2023, my love for travel started much earlier. In 2017, I took two life-changing trips out of the country — one to Israel for Birthright and another to Japan with my (then boyfriend, now husband). That’s when I truly discovered my passion for learning about different cultures and seeing the world through new eyes. You could say I was bit by the travel bug from that moment on.
Like any new business, building a clientele came with its fair share of challenges. In the beginning, most of my bookings came through friends and word-of-mouth, and I’m so grateful for those early supporters who believed in me. What quickly set me apart was the way I approached each trip — no two vacations are ever alike. I believe every adventure should reflect the personality, passions, and travel style of the person taking it. Whether someone loves history, food, theme parks, or nightlife, I take the time to truly get to know them and learn what they’re hoping to get out of their vacation. For every person or family, it’s something different — and that’s what makes it so special.
Currently, I’m working on one of the trips I’m most proud of — helping organize a Cancer Retreat at Sea for a wonderful local nonprofit called Journi for Two. Its founder, Alicia Henry, bravely faced breast cancer while pregnant and created an incredible community for mothers going through similar journeys. I’ve partnered with them and Byrd Cancer Foundation to plan a special fundraiser cruise this October onboard Utopia of the Seas, complete with breakout sessions, a 5K at sea, and charitable donations from every cabin booked. It’s a project that means the world to me and perfectly blends my love for travel with my passion for giving back.
As for what’s ahead? I simply hope to keep doing what I love — helping others make magical memories, discover new places, and experience adventures that feel like they were made just for them. One unforgettable trip at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any new business, the journey hasn’t always been easy — but those challenges have made the rewards even sweeter. One of the biggest hurdles today is building trust and demonstrating real value in a world where people are used to chasing online deals and think they can handle all their bookings themselves. It’s tough to stand out when you’re competing with websites and apps that promise quick savings but offer little to no personal support.
What I work hard to show my clients is that I’m much more than just someone who books trips — I’m their travel partner from start to finish. I guide them through every step, answer their questions, offer tailored recommendations, and most importantly, I’m there if something unexpected happens. Instead of sitting on hold with a robot, they have a real person who can think on their feet and solve problems so they can keep enjoying their vacation without stress.
It’s taken time to educate people about the true value a travel advisor brings, but as word spreads and more clients experience the difference firsthand, those early struggles feel more than worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Mouse Wife Adventures?
Mouse Wife Adventures is a full-service travel planning assistant, specializing in theme park vacations, cruises, and custom adventures all around the world. While I help with every kind of trip, I’m especially known for my deep knowledge of Disney destinations and my passion for crafting personalized, meaningful vacations that reflect each traveler’s unique interests — helping them find magic wherever they go.
What truly sets Mouse Wife Adventures apart is how personal I make every experience. I take the time to really get to know my clients — their favorite foods, hobbies, travel style, and even how they like to unwind — because no two trips should ever be the same. Whether you’re a foodie, a thrill-seeker, a history buff, or a family looking to make magical memories together, I design each vacation as if it was made just for you.
I’m proud that my services are 100% free to clients, and what often surprises people is how much more value they get by working with a travel advisor compared to booking online themselves. In today’s tech-heavy world, it’s easy to forget the importance of having a real person in your corner. I’m there before, during, and after your trip — offering advice, handling surprises, and quickly solving any issues so you can relax and enjoy your adventure without stress.
Brand-wise, I’m especially proud of how Mouse Wife Adventures has grown into more than just a travel planning service — it’s become a trusted resource for a lot of my clients.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my business, it’s this: I don’t just book trips. I create experiences, memories, and moments people will treasure forever — each one thoughtfully crafted for the unique traveler I’m lucky enough to work with.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is seeing people experience the true magic of travel — whether it’s the awe in their eyes at the first glimpse of Cinderella Castle, a couple wandering hand-in-hand through ancient European streets, or a family sharing a peaceful sunset aboard a cruise ship. Travel has this incredible power to bring people together and create memories that last far longer than any souvenir.
One of my absolute favorite moments is when clients send me photos from their adventures — seeing those joyful smiles and knowing I played even a small part in making those memories happen fills my heart with so much joy. For me, it’s about more than just trips; it’s about the stories people carry with them for a lifetime. And that’s exactly why I do what I do.
