Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Biggett-Heeren of Prismatic Venus Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Biggett-Heeren.

Brittany Biggett-Heeren

Hi Brittany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve worked in healthcare for over 10 years and majority of my career was working with pregnant & postpartum patient and their families.

In addition, I’ve been teaching group fitness classes since 2019 and I remember seeing a pregnant participant walking into my class. I felt guilty that I did not have the knowledge to safely guide them with the group.

Between my work in healthcare and group fitness, that has led me to my journey to becoming a fitness specialist for pre & postnatal clients and pregnancy health coach.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Balancing life with a full time job, finishing my Master Degree, teaching my group fitness classes, and being a newly-ish wed.

I’m still learning that I cannot do everything, if I do burnout is just around the corner. But as my Dad likes to say, “it’s not about the designation, it’s about the journey.”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Prismatic Venus Fitness?

Offering a service for an overlooked community that needed that additional support, attention, and data collection.

I’m currently obtaining the pre & postnatal fitness specialist certification through Pronatal Fitness and completing my prerequisite education to become a board certified Health Coach through National Board of Health & Wellness Coach.

I am a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, having earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics and Information Management in 2014.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law, with a concentration in Healthcare Compliance.

Currently, I just launched my podcast the Wednesday Wellness Debrief interviewing and I’m working with Postpartum Support International to host The Climb in the West Orange area this June. This event is the world’s largest event dedicated to raising awareness & understanding of perinatal mental health disorders.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I loved everything dance and fitness growing up.

There’s photos of me in dance classes when I was in diapers. I was involved in Jazz & Ballet growing up and in high school I was on the JV cheerleading team.
Even when I also rooted for the underdog, my favorite character growing up was Esmeralda from The Huntchback of Notre Dame.
