Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Prelovsky.
Hi Brooke, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always loved to create, build, and design and I am beyond thrilled I’ve found my passion. I’ve loved Disney from the time I was a little girl though I feel like I really fell head over heels at age 17. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to take that love and my creativity and turn my passion into a profession. It truly seems like a dream come true.
What started as me taking and sharing pictures of my favorite place on earth to spread the magic along with creating my own custom mouse ears to coordinate with my outfits has become a brand that’s grown beyond what I could have hoped for. I started in 2014 years ago with some craft supplies, the support of my husband, and humble hopes as I opened the doors to my Etsy shop. When I started, I hoped to make and spread magic and provide high-quality products that would create happy memories and stand the test of time! We’ve grown exponentially since then but our values, mission, and goal have remained steadfast.
BBBrooke now offers officially-licensed Disney products and continues to seek to spread joy, love, magic, and positive impact as we grow.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a small business owner has been the most exciting challenge! Growing from an idea to a small business to a recognizable brand has certainly been a journey filled with learning, reflection, challenges, and all that comes with growth.
Though it certainly hasn’t been easy, it’s worth it. I’m thankful for the experience and believe all that I’ve learned serves as a foundation for a stronger future. Being able to offer officially-licensed products (which was quite an undertaking) and connecting with so many who appreciate the magic BBB puts out into the world are things that fill my heart with so much gratitude. This venture has opened many doors, led me to many wonderful people, and pushed me further than I thought possible.
Obviously, the way the world and travel were impacted due to Covid affected us all and business as a whole. With a positive impact at the heart of what we do, we felt compelled to help and ended up making and shipping more than 10,000 masks for free. It was quite the undertaking. We’re grateful to have been able to provide for those who reached out to us during that time of uncertainty.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
BBBrooke started out by offering custom-designed Minnie ears which are personalized. Today, we also offer jewelry and band buttons which we created as a way to add sparkle to magic bands and watch bands, bunches, and other accessories. Our goal is to spread magic and celebrate the love of Disney.

Part of what sets BBB apart is that I’ve shared my journey: business, fitness, health, personal stories – so much of myself along the way. I feel like people have gotten to know me and together we’ve really built a community. We celebrate each other, a shared love of Disney, and our accomplishments along the way. As I’ve shared earlier, it’s really important for me that BBBrooke gives back. Additionally, I feel grateful to be able to be a woman-owned business and to consider my business successful.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Advice for anyone just starting out is to identify your why and focus on it. Remember that if you’re ever lost along the way, be sure you haven’t strayed from your why. If you have, reflect and refocus on it. You have to have a purpose bigger than just making money. For me, remembering my goal to inspire, celebrate the magic, and be a part of treasured memories through my creations has kept me going through it all.
Something I wish I knew: every time you think you have things figured out, they’re going to change. You have to stay nimble and adapt.
