Hidden Gems: Meet Cassie Angelidis of Over The Top Pita

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Angelidis.  

Hi Cassie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Over The Top Pita is a family-owned and operated quick-service restaurant. We serve modern, fresh, cuisine with a Mediterranean spin. Our story begins in 2013 when we decided to open up as a food truck traveling all over the state of Florida to make sure our food did well with all different demographics. Our menu hasn’t changed since then, and we have only built on our original menu which consisted of 8 pita sandwiches! 2015 we decided to settle into a brick-and-mortar location in Clermont Florida and have been here for 7 years as of June 6th, 2022. Just as of this year, in January 2022, we decided to take on a new journey and have officially started offering franchising opportunities nationwide! 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Just like all emerging brands, we too found obstacles that we had to surpass. Our biggest challenge would be trying to transition from a food truck to an actual restaurant. We were so used to such a small workspace and not having to worry about dine-in options, employees, and many more factors that are included. With that being said it was a great experience for growth and gaining the necessary knowledge to be able to successfully run and operate as we do today.

We are Over the Top Pita and we are a quick-service restaurant specializing in pita sandwiches, bowls, and tacos. Everything on our menu is made in-house and made with fresh, simple ingredients. As a guest, you could come in three days a week and get a completely different culinary experience. With our diverse menu, we really strive to be like no other casual dining restaurant. We make it our mission to ensure that your visit is OVER THE TOP every single time. We recently started offering franchising opportunities nationwide and to communities around us. Our brand is like no other and you can feel that with every bite! We invite you to come by and see what makes us OVER THE TOP!!

Our plans for the future include spreading our cuisine nationwide!
