My journey really began in 2019 when some close friends asked me to officiate their wedding. At first, I wasn’t sure I could do it—I had never spoken in public before, and the idea felt a little intimidating. But I said yes, and once I was standing there with them on such an important day, everything clicked. Just a few months later, I was asked to officiate another wedding, and that’s when I realized this wasn’t just something I could do—it was something I was meant to do.
What started as a favor quickly became a passion. Being part of such meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime moments is incredibly rewarding. Over time, my role expanded from officiating to also helping couples plan and coordinate their weddings. Now, I not only create and perform beautiful ceremonies, but I also get to walk alongside couples throughout the planning process, helping them design one of the most memorable days of their lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any meaningful journey, there have been challenges along the way. In the beginning, I had to overcome self-doubt and the fear of stepping into something completely new. Building a business from the ground up also came with its own struggles: learning how to balance the creative side with the business side, figuring out how to market myself, and navigating the ups and downs that come with entrepreneurship.
But looking back, each struggle has been a lesson. They’ve shaped the way I work today, made me more resilient, and allowed me to better connect with my couples because I understand what it means to keep moving forward even when things aren’t easy.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited about this next chapter for Ceremonies by Chrissy. With our relocation to Bradenton, Florida, I’m looking forward to connecting with new couples and collaborating with local venues and vendors to bring fresh opportunities to life. One of my big goals is to expand the planning side of my services, offering couples even more support beyond officiating so they can feel truly cared for throughout the entire journey.
I’m also passionate about continuing to grow my brand in a way that stays true to my heart—focusing on personalization, and genuine connection. Big picture, I see Ceremonies by Chrissy becoming a trusted name in the wedding community here, not just for what I do but for the experience and love I bring into each celebration.
