Hidden Gems: Meet Christopher Jones of Synergy Float Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Jones.

Hi Christopher, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I served 26 years as an officer in the Army, Air Force, and Navy. I retired in 2016 and he Veterans Administration wanted to put me on some hard core pharmaceuticals for PTSD and other related issues. I refused the pharmaceutical solution and discovered floatation therapy which helps synergize my mind, body, and soul. In 2017 I started this wellness journey, and now have two holistic wellness centers whose mission is to optimize humanity. The first is in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia called Synergy Float Center, and my second is in Merritt Island, Florida called Synergy Float Spa built in an historic old house.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Coming out of the military, I realized I had no experience in running a business, so I went back to school to get an MBA. And I am currently working on another Masters degree in Digital Marketing. The biggest issue is that Big Pharma has the corner on the market and no one really knows what float therapy is. So it is an awareness problem, and I strive daily to help get the word out.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Although, it has float in the title, we are really a holistic wellness spa and have multiple modalities designed to help get to the root of the issues and heal them vice just treating them. We have infrared sauna therapy, red light therapy, halotherapy, magnetic resonance therapy, hydrogen therapy, contrast therapy, compression therapy, sound therapy, light therapy, PMF therapy, and a zen garden for meditation therapy. Floating helps with so many issues from pain, depression, PTSD, stress, and sleep to enhancing performance, increasing creativity, and mood. I recently floated 30 days straight for at least an hour a day and it inspired me to author Veilwalker, a 300+ page book designed to help people move beyond the 3D veil to heal themselves, humanity, and the cosmos.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Don’t get me wrong, I loved my time in the military which enabled me to travel the world and familiarize myself with different cultures and beliefs. But, i always felt like a square peg in a round hole. Once I retired I completely changed my path to this holistic one, trying to make my community better one floater at a time. I am a water person, and live at the beach.

Pricing:

  • $79 is the normal price of an hour long float, but we have a single first time rate of $59, or three for $150.
