Hi David, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in Slovakia, surrounded by the warmth of my family’s pastry shop. My parents spent their entire lives in the industry, and their work ethic, creativity, and dedication became my earliest inspiration. That bakery wasn’t just a business—it was the heart of our family, and it shaped who I am today. Today, my brother has taken it over, proudly continuing it into the second generation.
With more than 23 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, I learned firsthand what exceptional service really means. Over time, I felt a growing desire to build something that combined my European roots with my passion for premium service. That vision became À LA MODE COFFEE.
I started small a single mobile espresso bar, a commitment to quality, and a dream to bring a stylish, elevated coffee experience to Central Florida. Inspired by the craftsmanship I grew up with, I focused on creating not just great coffee, but memorable moments. Today, À LA MODE COFFEE serves weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across Orlando and beyond, delivering a boutique-quality espresso bar experience anywhere.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all 🙂 it’s been anything but smooth. Starting À LA MODE COFFEE meant doing absolutely everything on my own. I handled branding, website, equipment research and setup, permits, shopping, loading my vehicle for events, serving guests, cleaning, marketing, sales, literally every part of the business from day one. There were days I’d finish an event at night and wake up early the next morning to prepare for another, still learning as I went.

What sets us apart is our attention to detail. Every element—our setup, our branding, our beans, our syrups, and the way we serve guests—is intentionally curated. We’re known for delivering consistent quality, professional barista service, and an elevated look that makes any event feel more special.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how quickly people connected with our clean, stylish presentation and the level of care we put into every cup. À LA MODE COFFEE isn’t just a service; it’s an experience designed to leave a lasting impression.

I definitely didn’t get here alone. My parents deserve the greatest credit. Growing up in our family’s pastry shop, they taught me the values that shaped everything I do today—hard work, discipline, consistency, and treating customers with genuine care. Their mentorship laid the foundation for my work ethic and the standards I bring into À LA MODE COFFEE.
