Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Jennifer Johnson DC.
Hi Dr. Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I graduated in 2013 from Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport, lowa- (The American Fountain Head of Chiropractic). Born and raised in the Quad Cities, I grew up surrounded by a culture that embodies the holistic approach of chiropractic care. D.D. Palmer did the first adjustment on his janitor. He the started Palmer College of Chiropractic.
My undergrad, from Iowa State is in Biology and Community Regional Planning. I have a love for community and was happy with that degree. But, I wanted to do more for people. Something that really impacts people’s lives. That answer was chiropractic. Pain, functionality and lifetime of wellness was what is am improving, for my patients, with just my hands!
It was a long hard road to graduation and completing my experience. I have 13 years of wellness and personal injury experience. I also have furthered my education with achieving certification in FAKTR rehabilitation therapy. Today, I love spending time with my husband and son. I had my son my third trimester in Palmer. Long hard road.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Many years of school. Four years for my undergrad and 4 for my doctorate. Palmer, takes your time with family and friends away. As I mentioned before, I had my son in the middle of Palmer. So, I had a baby in one arm and a book in the other.
After I graduated we moved from Iowa to Florida. This is where the long days started. I had to get experience in order to be a good doctor. Most days I got home at 8:00. This was difficult on my family due to always being away.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Art of Health Chiropractic Group?
In addition to chiropractic adjustments and FAKTR therapy, I use Graston, K-tape, Cupping, Webster technique, Activator and Massage tools.
The FAKTR therapy is a certificate- additional education.
My business is very approachable due to it being a walk in clinic and cash practice. I want it to be a very comfortable holistic community care center.
