Hi Felipe, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Living for two years as a “virtual nomad” in Europe and returning to my city, Salvador/Bahia, during the pandemic made me want to rediscover the local gastronomy and culture. So, in less than a year of existence, MuitoGourmet.com has been inspiring locals and tourists to discover new flavors and explore new places in Bahia and beyond. We defend and promote local culture and seek to enhance the local gastronomic scene. Evidencing what is good and out of the ordinary.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a lot of fun! New discoveries and new situations. For example, I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to interview a country’s ambassador or that I would give a radio interview for having written an opinion about a TV commercial, as I said, defending our culture. So, I hope to keep having fun for longer…
We’ve been impressed with MuitoGourmet.com, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It came from the desire to inspire and help other people discover new places, new cities, new cultures, and new flavors. We believe these types of experiences shape us as people, and that’s what really matters…
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The biggest motivator for all of this to be happening in my life today is my fiancée. She has been there since the idea was born and supports me unconditionally. Really none of this would exist if it weren’t for her.
