Hidden Gems: Meet JaeNeen Glover-Stephens of Vacations With Jae

Today we’d like to introduce you to JaeNeen Glover-Stephens.

Hi JaeNeen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Since I was younger, I’ve always loved taking trips. Even if it was a ride into town or to an unfamiliar city, it was always an adventure for me. As I got older, I was more excited about planning and putting trips together for family and friends, than going on them. At one point I decided it was time to experience these destinations for myself and so I did. Ever since then, I absolutely loved traveling and wanted to let others know that there is so much to do and see out there. This inspired me to become a travel advisor. I loved how happy my clients were when we discussed their travel plans and the excitement of them knowing with my assistance, their dreams of traveling are finally happening.

I am a mommy of two amazing active boys. My oldest son however has autism and I am his biggest advocate. ” Go Team SuperCam” I promised I would show him and his brother the world. I told my oldest son there is no limit on how much he could do or see and I will not let anyone limit him because of his special needs. There are so many families out there that think it’s difficult to travel with children, especially those with special needs. I’m here to tell you that it is not true! With the right guidance from Vacations with Jae and understanding what your client needs, you CAN travel the world. There are so many resorts, cruises, airlines, hotels, etc… that have policies in place to accommodate our special needs children/adults. This put a fire in me to cater my travel business mostly towards families. As much as I love to make memories with my kids, I want to see so many more families do the same with their children.

Material things, the kids will grow out of… but amazing vacation memories with mommy and/or daddy are priceless!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been easy. The plus side of it all is I already knew how to do research when it comes to booking travel. The downside of it is finding your niche (although We are a full-service agency but I learned early on that my niche would be Family Travel), Work/life balance, gaining clients, building that trust as a new travel advisor in the travel industry, becoming knowledgeable about the industry, marketing, social media presence, etc… etc… Everything that comes along with building a brand and business. I’m still not too savvy with the marketing concept but I’m slowly learning. I think I’ve been doing pretty good so far.

But the one thing I absolutely love is travel training. Some say it’s too much… but I say it’s a sacrifice, especially if you are passionate about it.. “How can it be too much, when you are helping your clients and becoming more knowledgeable about the industry at the same time.” There is so much to learn, it’s limitless. Visiting different countries, learning the culture, visiting and touring different resorts and other properties and on top of that travel training in that destination. What can be better than that?!?! It’s our duty as travel advisors to visit these places and experience it for ourselves, so we can have first hand knowledge of it all. What better way to recommend a resort or destination to your client knowing that you’ve experienced it yourself. Thanks to my amazing host agency Levarte Travel for doing such an amazing job keep us educated on familiar with so many destinations and properties.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vacations With Jae, LLC?
I am a Certified Travel Advisor who has been in business for 8 years now. We cater to all things travel but our specialty market is in family travel. We absolutely love when our clients come back feeling refreshed and relaxed. Especially our clients who travel with their children. There is nothing like creating memories with your children, they will always have something special to look back on. All the different vacations, exploring different islands, and seeing their reaction when they end up somewhere new. It’s so amazing to hear their stories. Is completely PRICELESS!!

I work with my clients every step of the way to help them create the best vacation that caters to their needs and budget. We do the work by qualifying our clients, getting to know them, what their expectations are, budget, and help put itineraries together. Whether it is a honeymoon, couples’ trip, group trip, family vacation, or a business venture, we are here every step of the way to get you there.

Our services include a 30 min free consultation. We want to get to know you and your dream of traveling. The better we know what your expectations are the better we can narrow down and send options that fit your vacation needs. Some travel service companies end after they book your trip… but not Vacations With Jae, we are here every step of the way. From beginning to end you can reach us before, during, and after your trip to give you that reassurance.

If you would like to set up a consultation, please go to our website at www.vacationswithjae.com and fill out the client profile. We look forward to talking with you.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I’m a big murder mystery fan so I read a lot of James Patterson books. I like to read them at leisure, on flights or on long layovers. His books are definitely a must read on my list.

I also recommend bringing the old ear buds with the regular hole jacks on flights. Always have one just in case, especially on the flights that offer entertainment like movies and music. Some flights don’t have enough ear buds to pass out and it will help time go by faster.

I subscribe to a lot of travel magazines (this keeps me up to date on some current travel trends)

There are a couple of apps I just downloaded to try to make my marketing on social media a little bit better. But I haven’t really dived into understanding how to work the apps yet. It’s on my to-do list.

There are a few travel agent groups that I am a part of to get ideas on how to promote or be more educated on certain resorts or destinations to help my clients decide on the best location for them.
