Jerry, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my in 1989 and begin with just one employee and ended up with 2700 attorney mediators working for my company. I created the first mediation center and mediation company in the United States. I began with contracts with the US Department of Justice and Homeland Security, US postal services, and department transportation for the State of Texas, and a Department of Justice for the State of Texas. Which grew my company into a $35 million a year company. We developed new programs throughout Texas called Dispute resolution centers which allowed the court systems to offer free mediation services to the public for small and small disputes. Over the years we grew into one of the largest mediation training companies in the United States as well. Training such organization as the US Department of Justice, Homeland Security, US Department of Justice, Department of Defense, IRS, And many other government agencies. We are considered the very best education system by the US Department of Justice for mediation training, we are the least expensive mediation training company in the United States. Our training with the request by the Texas Department of Justice and South Texas School of Law to develop online mediation training program. Which has grown to have over 10,000 students in over 7 countries. I have been Florida Supreme Court Committee on Unauthorized Practice of Law I served as a judge for the mediator qualifications with the American Bar Association.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any new startup business the roads are difficult financing difficult and salaries became an issue on cost and taxation. Finding the employees has always been a problem the right qualifications the right experience and the right desire to work hard.
