Hidden Gems: Meet Jhoan Zerpa of Car City Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jhoan Zerpa.  

Hi Jhoan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Jhoan Zerpa, I am from Venezuela. I arrived in the USA 7 years ago running, since my life was in danger from the communist dictatorship that keeps Venezuela in misery and famine. In 2016 I was a taxi driver, uber lyft, door dash any application that could be done to support my family, it should be noted that I left my career, comforts, and my own home in my country but I saved my life by reaching the USA, 2016 was a very hard year for me ADAPTATION to a new system, I suffered 2 traffic accidents and 4 tickets, my wife worked in a restaurant for 2 months which left her owing 1 month which was never paid, one day someone offered me a job as a health insurance agent (Obamacare) without having faith in those types of work I made the decision to I asked my wife to do it because she suffered from thyroid cancer in Venezuela and the unpaid work at the restaurant was making her sick. We proceeded to enroll my wife in Combined Insurance, an excellent complimentary insurance company. Things of God my wife got many clients and we dedicate ourselves exclusively to that work I became my wife’s assistant and her personal driver, and it got to the point where I felt so bad about having everything in Venezuela, starting from 0 in the USA, being the head of the household and now being my wife’s helper since she was producing all the money in the family upset I decided to go to a Toyota dealer to buy a second vehicle so that my wife could go to her appointments with clients and I stop being her driver and assistant (something like pride of man). In that Autonation Toyota Winter Park dealer I am attended by a Dominican manager named LUIS MEDINA, he sells me my first vehicle 0 miles in the USA and he realizes my financial situation and that I was unemployed, thanks to him, who saw something in me that I HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO SEE, I did not think I was capable of selling water in the desert, much less a vehicle to an American citizen, January 2017 I started working in this great corporation and I achieved all the successes in that world, I became TOYOTA’S PROS (recognition of the best salesmen of the year) and then I was promoted to CFS (finance manager). It can be a story of overcoming, in 2020 my problems were not about money but they were problems that I did not spend time with the family (women are never satisfied with anything) I made the decision to quit my job and open my own business where my goal is to produce jobs and help others just like LUIS MEDINA at that time helped me to change my life, also to sell quality cars to my new family who are my clients, cars without problems and opportunities to build or rebuild their credits. That is how CAR CITY ORLANDO CORP was born. In just 2 months open to the public, we have sold more than 24 used cars. For us, it is a blessing because with so much competition and that we are new, nobody knows about us. employees to have 3 employees who manage to bring food to their homes thanks to the salary they receive 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
the obstacles that we have presented that many banks do not trust us because we are new, the problem with the scarcity of vehicles at present and the increase in used cars, the high % of the floor plans especially the hidden FEES, but despite we have come out of all this 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in finding approval for those people with very bad credit, new credit without any type of credit history or without social security, all those cases that the big dealers do not want, we say YES to them, we do not rest until we give them an answer positive, And the difference between us and other independent dealers is that we offer guarantees on our vehicles. We understand that it is an investment on the part of the clients and we want to ensure their investment, and eliminate the stigma that exists in the population with independent dealers.
