Today we’d like to introduce you to Labrena Coleman.
Hi Labrena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was a high school teacher for Three years and I saw a need for help amongst the adolescence. Would you let me to start a nonprofit organization called Her Movement which is a youth mentoring program. I noticed adults need help too. Later, I started in LLC called Better You Solutions. With the second company, I am a life coach, motivational speaker, and self-care advocate. I also have a master’s degree in social work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road on this journey. I started two businesses not knowing any information about nonprofits or LLCs. I begin the companies because I saw there was a need and learned how to operate the business along the way. For example, a non profit is not operated the same way as you would operate an LLC. There will be times others may doubts your dreams and ideas, but you have to stay focused and determined to complete your mission.

I’ve been a fully certified Coaching Professional since 2021, helping my clients throughout the Nation assisting with reaching their personal and professional goals. The essence of my work is to facilitate self-growth by helping you identify the core challenges and setbacks in your life so that you can overcome them with confidence. I specialize in creating personalized plans and providing tools to guide you forward and achieve your desired goals.
Ms.Coleman has her bachelor’s in Psychology, Master’s in Social Work, Certified Life Coach, and Youth Mental First AID certification. She has been dedicated to obtaining her mission to encourage individuals to become effective leaders, develop confidence, create positive life choices as well as use their voices and talents to help achieve their maximum life potential.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I plan to expand throughout the states. Having a virtual and in-person location or what I like to call a “safe place”. Will help adolescents, adults, mental health, and food insecurity.
