Hidden Gems: Meet Lindsay Muscato of TELETIES

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Muscato.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
TELETIES launched out of my garage. We started out very small. Before the launch of the company, I spent around three years perfecting the idea and getting everything lined up and ready to go. There was a lot that went on behind the scenes before I officially launched. I launched in 2017. A local blogger by the name of Ashley Brooke made a post about TELETIES and that really helped put us on the map. Right aways, we realized the power of social media.

Our next big win was getting a deal with Pure Barre and HSN. I convinced a few family members and friends to help me because we needed more manpower with everything going on. We finally moved into our first warehouse in December of 2017, which was 1,100 square feet. The company continued growing and we needed more space. We moved to our second warehouse in April of 2019, which is 12,000 sq. We currently have 38 employees and employ 80% women, which is something I am very proud of.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road entrepreneur road is always bumpy. One of my favorite lines is that nothing good comes easy! We have speed bumps everyday, but we always conquer them. If there is a will, there is a way and that really is our motto at TELETIES.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about TELETIES?
Hair ties break, stretch out, rip hair, and give us headaches. We have always put up with this pain in the… hair, but no more! Lindsay, creator of TELETIES, found the perfect solution. Our epiphany led us on a mission to create the perfect go-to hair accessory: an all-in-one hair tie that doubles as a stylish stackable bracelet. Growing up playing soccer, she found herself constantly on the sidelines with her head upside down, frantically trying to put her hair tie back in. Then as a busy mom on the go, she found her hair ties slipping on many levels. Tired of hair ties performing poorly and not being aesthetically pleasing, she decided to do something about it. She wanted to make hair ties that were not only functional but fashionable and less damaging to hair. And that’s exactly what she did! As the business has prospered, Lindsay wanted a way to give back to the community. She has partnered with FORCE, a non-profit organization that improves the lives of those affected by hereditary cancers, a cause that hits close to home for Lindsay.

It is the company’s mission to make a donation with every TELETIES purchase. Features TELETIES have many excellent features. They hold strong, hurt less and look great in your hair and on your wrists. They come in stylish colors and a variety of patterns. TELETIES are fashionable, functional and fun. In addition to all of that, we make a charitable donation with every purchase. TELETIES do less harm to your hair and more good in the world! Water Resistant TELETIES are water-resistant, so you can get them wet without worry. And since they won’t retain water, you’ll never have to deal with a drippy hair tie again. Strong Grip TELETIES have a unique spiral design made of firm yet flexible material. This creates a strong-grip that locks hair in place with less slipping than traditional ties. Fashion Statement Whether in your hair or on your wrist, TELETIES always look stylish. With the variety of colors and styles available, they are the perfect accessory for any outfit or occasion. Less Headaches TELETIES hold hair firmly in place with less pulling and tightening. Their firm yet flexible form provides greater hair support, reducing head and scalp tension. Reduces Damage TELETIES spiral form and smooth surface mean less direct contact with your hair for an easier, smoother removal. Decreases Creases With their unique spiral design, TELETIES leave less of a crease compared to traditional ties.
