Hidden Gems: Meet Luke Raymond of Scrub Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Raymond

Hi luke, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m 19 years old I started Scrub Club when I was 16. At first I was in and off with the business, however in the past year working every weekend. I recently moved to College leaving the reigns with my little brother(Jake Raymond). I do come back most weekends to work and help my customers. I have mastered the business and teach my little brother and his friends who work now. I have had upwards of 8 employees and two teams working and still do. My Manager Jake Ferris has been a key factor to my production in the past year also as he has been there every step of the way. He makes sure the jobs are done well and right. I make sure the sales and backend are taken care of.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth road in terms of the cash flow, however learning and finding new equipment took around two years to master everything to perfection. At first it was mostly friends and family which is easy to sell to. Now we have various people whom we work for and mostly stick to door knocking.

As you know, we’re big fans of Scrub Club . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a Residential up-keeping business that handles the outside windows of your home. we are also a small business so any extra work we can do we always get done such as flies in corners, greening on walls, gutter cleanings inside and out. We really try to help out in every way we can because unlike big corporations we have to make it perfect for our business sake and your homes sake.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I was not really in business during this time
