Today we’d like to introduce you to Manuela Goez.
Hi Manuela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Manuela and I am the co-owner and lead planner of 360 Emotions. We are an Event Planning and Design company specialized in different types of events. My journey in the Event Industry started back in my Country Colombia where my dad Andres Goez founder of 360 Emotions started to build his business doing events and I would assist him from time to time. I knew I enjoyed doing events, but it was not until I moved here to United States when I actually found the passion for doing them.
My family and I moved from Colombia on 2011, we came with only a few suitcases and many dreams to fight for, it was a new beginning for all of us. We knew it was not going to be easy. Specially because we were going to start from zero in a country, we barely knew the language but what could we lose?
I graduated from UCF with an Event Management degree and I became certified as Wedding Planner by The Bridal Society. During this time, I was blessed to work in different aspects of the Event Industry, which help me grow and learn.
I worked at a restaurant as a server, at a rental company as an Event Specialist, move up as venue coordinator at a restaurant, and then as an assistant and lead planner with Event Planning companies.
In fact, I fall in love with weddings, when I started working on one of the most magnificent companies, I could worked for Runway Events. I learn so much from them and the owner became such an inspiration for me that I knew in some point of my life I wanted to incorporate wedding into my business.
While I was studying and working with those companies my dad was focusing on his Design company and bringing to live 360 Emotions.
The original concept of 360 Emotions was brought from my dad’s design company from Colombia, back then the company only offered services for private and corporate events. Therefore, when I took over the company, I added the services of wedding planning and design.
So, now what’s 360 Emotions concept? We specialize in bespoke and themed events and aim to elevate the atmosphere and experience for clients and their loved ones.
How we do it?
When an event is designed with attention to all five senses there is a certain unity that takes place amongst attendees, a harmony that leads to a rhythmic flow of inspired communication. You may wonder why this happens and the reason is simple, when the (5) senses are put to work we become engaged, we want to know more of the environment we are in and our emotions get heightened.
Now a multi-sensorial event is a more memorable experience but sometimes it gives the impression to be very expensive or hard to plan. Think about all the elements that go into the planning process and how these can appeal to the senses to encourage greater engagement such as: Creating the invitations or save the dates, selecting the proper catering, Dj or Band, the venue that you will be selecting, the decor, etc. Every details plays and important roll into your event and it does not necessary means it is going to be pricey.
We offer different packages but one of our top favorites is our 360 Custom. This a la carte package will help us to work out your needs and budgeting.
I am very happy to do what I love, and I feel blessed to work every day in my family company. I wake up every morning looking forward to see what’s next. To learn from our new clients and their stories or just simply continue the beautiful connection we have with our past clients and vendors. All of this fills my heart and I hope we continue to grow and continue to create lifetime memories for our clients and their families.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I would say my biggest challenge was having to postpone so much my career. I became a mom for the first time when I was 24 and I was in the middle of my career. I was working full-time for a company and part-time doing events. My pregnancy was high risk, so I stopped doing events and put on hold my career for a year. I felt this delayed my process but I am glad I was able to overcome it. I feel accomplished to know that even after some time, I was able to finish my career and even get certified as Wedding Planner.
