Hidden Gems: Meet Mark Weaver of Pro-Jack Remodeling LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Weaver

Hi Mark, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Myself the owner started off Growing up in an entrepreneurial, business minded, construction family, Gaining experience as I got into my teenage years. I Graduated from a vocational program for construction my senior year of high school. I worked on my own for other contractors for many years right out of high school. Gaining more and more experience as the years went by. By 2010 I was working as lead site project manager and crew leader. After a few years of that, in 2016 I jumped into the opportunity to relocate to Florida, knowing there was an obvious need for a better quality option that homeowners could rely on, for their home remodeling needs. Since 2016, we have grown our customer base substantially and heavily refined our service process to make it one of the best remodeling experiences possible for homeowners. Doing our best to focus on the heart of the home which is the kitchen and bathroom areas. Taking many of these old 1960s 70s and 80s homes into the Present time with complete remodels to improve functionality and overall aesthetic pleasure of the home design. Always striving to produce lifetime results with our renovations to give homeowners great peace of mind, knowing it’s good for the lifetime of the home.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We were very quickly recognized for our quality of service, craftsmanship, knowledge, honesty and integrity Allowing us to build a large customer base over the first year we started in 2016. We have been very successful without running ad campaigns. Relying solely on the referrals of our previous customers to spread the word of the fantastic service they received from Pro-Jack Remodeling LLC. We have met many amazing people over the years that we have the pleasure of calling our customers. The biggest challenge, as always is giving customers the confidence to know that the contractor, they are hiring is worth the money. The level of service attention to detail and quality of products can drive a huge difference in price. many of times they are are left comparing “apples to oranges” when comparing their options not truly realizing that they’re not comparing “apples to apples” So getting people to recognize the value is a challenge

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk is the only thing that’s ever going to get you to the next level in anything. Taking risk means leaving your comfort zone and going into the unknown. It often means doing things you’re not experienced with, forcing yourself to learn new skills, learning to adapt. Finding a way and making it happen.
I took a big risk and left my home town/state in 2016.
Here’s the story.
Sometime around May 2016. I Visited a friend in Winter Park, Florida, to help him prepare his townhouse to be a rental. He was moving out to a new area. As we were working together, painting the kitchen cabinets. He was explaining to me the details of his plans to rent out the house. It was almost as if a lightbulb went on above his head and he looked at me and said “why don’t you move down here and rent this place? I’ll rent it to you for real cheap, if you just renovate it while you’re living there.” Well, $300 a month for a three bedroom two bath townhome was tempting. But I know what it’s like to live in a “construction zone home”. So I told him I would think about it. I went back home to Pennsylvania and thought about it for a few weeks. I was at a point where I was either starting up my business again in Pennsylvania, where work slows down and it’s cold and miserable almost half the year or I could move to Florida and start my business there where it’s sunny and warm. I always had ambitions to move further south as far as the Caribbean islands. I made the decision. I was moving to Florida! I immediately began organizing everything to figure out what I absolutely needed and did not need. Sold as much as I could. Donated the rest. Finished the last of the repairs and renovations to my house and prepared to put it Up for sale. I packed all the remaining items I needed into a my 14 foot enclosed trailer and in the bed of my pick up truck. I’m pretty sure the trailer was overweight. You could barely fit a can of soup in there yet. I listed my house for sale and hit the road, August 31, 2016 I got to Florida late the next day.
My house in Pennsylvania took a few months to sell. I was down to the last mortgage payment in the bank account set aside to pay the mortgage until it sold. First buyers financing fell through, but luckily someone bought it just in time. Upon arriving in Florida, I started the task of establishing my business with registering my LLC and started looking for work. After a few adjustments learning from a few mistakes, things started to pick up. Work began to fill the calendar and my customer base quickly grew. It’s been going fairly well since then.
