Hidden Gems: Meet Melissa Quiruz of Quiruz Travels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Quiruz.

Hi Melissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a stay at home mom and wife who loves to spend time with her family and travel as much as possible. I came across this amazing opportunity to be in business for myself as a certified and licensed travel agent. I was extremely nervous about how I would be able to do this successfully. I have learned that when you are in business for yourself, you will get out of your business as much as you put into it and things don’t just happen overnight. You have to work hard at it every day. With that in mind, I make sure that I am always giving 100% and doing the work needed to get to the level of success that I desire.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being in business for yourself can definitely be challenging. You are the CEO, the Manager, HR & Employee all in one. You have to learn how to be resourceful and be willing to take time to actually learn the aspects of your business and what it’s going to take for it to be successful.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Quiruz Travels?
I provide personalized travel planning and offer services to my clients all around the US. I handle all things travel but my specialty is Disney. Whether it’s Disney World, Disneyland, or Disney cruises, I have the knowledge necessary to make sure my clients and their families have the most magical time for the best price!

I think what sets me apart is my dedication to my clients. I am dedicated to getting them the best deal available and ultimately creating a lasting business relationship with them because at the end of the day, without them, my business is nothing. So, I pride myself in finding the best options for my clients and their satisfaction is EVERYTHING to me!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I think the most important lesson for me is to be patient with the process and enjoy it. The process is just as important as the success.
