Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Predelus.
Hi Michael, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I began photography during high school in 2011. I enrolled in a creative photography class due to a sparked interest in digital art and a need to pick an elective for classes. I was inspired to take photography courses due to a cousin of mine that always loved photographs and the entire photography world. Their love for the craft caught my attention and I wanted to explore more.
After learning the history and basics of photography; such as the development of cameras, lighting techniques, composition, size of lenses, filters, and the different types of photography – I knew this was a skill that I would always have and could use in the future. Fast Forward into the year of 2013, this skill was brought back to my attention. I graduated high school this same year and decided to attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University for a college degree in Business Administration & Marketing. While attending this illustrious university, I became involved in multiple organizations and clubs. Acquiring the position of public relations chair for various campus organizations, I was held responsible to utilize different channels of promotion and advertising techniques. I seen the massive use and gratification that photography/videography brought to an organization and thought to myself “this could be applied to businesses and individuals as well”.
I had this feeling that all photos could be used for the greater good of a brand and bring light to people – helping them highlight the great causes and products they have to offer the world. That is when it all started, I reached out to my college accounting professor, and he motivated me to be a voice of change. He signed to become my official club advisor, that way I could hold meetings on campus with like-minded students. We crafted up a team of 20-30 students with all unique and special talents and this was the birth of “Out of Da Box Studios’ LLC (ODB)”.
ODB was crafted to be a long-term production and entertainment company. This company will be the umbrella for many companies to come. Knowing that all production companies need visual arts and digital media – is how I came to the idea of my 1st official subsidiary company known to be “MP IMAGES” also referred to as Marketing & Promotional Images”. The company was created to capture the essence of life in all ways it’s lived and to use it in a way that could fulfill joy and create awareness for companies and individuals.
MP Images use photography and videography to help showcase products, services, and people in their best light and ensure the true message of their brand is understood and recognized. After starting the company, my first client was a college friend referral and this moment brought true hope and joy in my heart. It was nice to know someone believed in my skills even when I couldn’t see them for myself. From that day on, things began to grow steadily and surely for the better.
All while still attending college, I kept to MP Images and started its expansion upon graduating. Now today we have 2 virtual locations “MP Images Tallahassee” and “MP Images Orlando” were we provide studio and on-location services. We are able to travel nationwide and provide clients with quality work that enhances their brand and bring overall feelings of joy. I have had the pleasure of working with multiple companies such as FAMU Athletics, Non-profits, Airbnb, and even 3rd parties such as Shutterstock.
I am grateful to have this experience and to value its growth – having a chance to be featured in articles and seeing that people recognize the company shows that love can come about in various ways, and I can only hope to see all the good that’s to come from it all as we steadily grow, learn and develop.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey is definitely not a smooth road to take, many obstacles have come about and still continue today. To name a few of the challenges faced – it has been difficult earning and raising capital to purchase camera & lighting equipment, editing software, and to make travel arrangements for clients. Many of the administrative tasks could also be time-consuming, making it challenging to edit, process, and post content of MP Images work to social media and the company website.
The most challenging task thus far has been to be able to find additional staff that could assist with photography/videography sessions, editing post work, posting and uploading content, and keeping continuous communication with new & reoccurring clients in the form of advertising, bookings, deals, and more. Finding help has been the biggest obstacle of them all.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most wouldn’t know about me by a simple glance is that I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 13 and went through the most devastating and liberating time of my life. This moment gave me inspiration to not take life for granted and to always live in the moments.
Good or bad memories are worth keeping and a good way to keep memories is through picture and video. This company has grown through ups and downs and its worth every moment. MP Images come from the idea of capturing the essence of life and using it to its full advantage.
