Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas & Renee Stuible.
Hi Nicholas & Renee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Nick has been a pro-wrestler for ten years and Renee has a past in the music industry and has been a corporate marketer for the last eight years. We had been wanting to start a business for years but we’re waiting for the right opportunity. At the end of 2022, we knew God was calling us to open a faith-based pro-wrestling school. It’s the perfect blend of our two passions: pro-wrestling and business!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We’re pretty sure starting and owning a business is never a smooth road! Being not negative, but honest, there has been struggle after struggle since we opened, but that’s what makes it fun. We wanted to own our careers and our future potential and with that comes the good and the difficult. We have had money run out, people let us down, almost not be able to get insurance (that one was fun), and the most difficult being the stress of running a full-time business while having 3 kids and still working our corporate jobs to keep food on the table. It’s a grind and we knew what we signed up for. We’re willing to “eat the glass” and trudge through the trenches right now to get the freedom of owning our careers! We know the only way we fail is if we quit and quitting isn’t in our vocabulary.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about House of Champions?
House of Champions is an elite professional wrestling training center that offers private pro-wrestling training, classes, ring reservations, full gym and recovery center, and even a public group activity offering called the Real Wrestling Experience. Our one mission is to make dreams a reality: whether your dream is to be WWE champ or just feel like a pro-wrestler for a day.
We had a dream of creating a performance center that offered elite training, a state of the art facility and equipment, and foster a community of family. The HOC has two full sized 20’x20′ WWE style pro wrestling rings, a full gym, Cold Plunge and Infrared Sauna, 3 coaches on staff, and is regularly staffed.
We’re most proud of the community we’ve created at the HOC. We want our members to be proud to wear the HOC name and lion. If they call themselves a member, they can be rest assured the HOC coaching staff will be doing everything in their power to help them reach their full potential and chase their dream.
In addition to helping create future super stars, we also offer a group activity that is open to the public called, Real Wrestling Experience (RWE). It’s the perfect group activity for a fun night out with friends, bachelor party, birthday party, or team building event. You don’t have to be a wrestling fanatic to have a blast!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. We have been preparing our entire lives for this opportunity and we didn’t even know it. When God called on us to step up, we weren’t qualified by any means, but we knew He would guide us and equip us accordingly, which He has.
