Hi Olena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in 2015 as a manicure and pedicure specialist, focusing on high-quality aesthetic services that help people feel confident and well-groomed. Over time, I began to notice that many clients needed more than just a beautiful result — they were looking for someone who truly understood how to care for their hands and feet thoughtfully and safely.
This inspired me to deepen my knowledge through continuous education. I’ve completed both online and in-person training programs, and each year I attended professional conferences where experienced specialists — including dermatologists and pediatric experts — shared valuable insights. These experiences gave me a broader perspective on how to approach complex cases gently and professionally.
Today, I continue to invest in my growth by taking new courses every few months and staying up-to-date with techniques that allow me to restore the appearance and comfort of the skin and nails. I’m committed to combining aesthetic care with individual attention — always working in a clean, respectful, and results-focused way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While I’ve always loved what I do, the road hasn’t always been easy. Learning new skills has never been a challenge for me — I genuinely enjoy professional growth. The real challenges came from the financial side of investing in advanced training, especially when many courses and conferences required significant resources.
The global pandemic in 2021 brought its own difficulties — like many in the beauty industry, I had to adapt quickly to lockdowns and safety restrictions. But even during that time, I didn’t stop learning and improving my skills.
In addition, immigration has been one of the biggest emotional hurdles. In 2022, when war broke out in Ukraine, I was forced to leave behind my salon, my clients, and my beloved team — people with whom I had built a strong, supportive, and growing business. It was an incredibly painful decision. I relocated to Germany for a period of time and eventually immigrated to the United States, where I had to start from scratch once again.
Every move brought uncertainty, but also the chance to begin again — and I embraced it with determination and hope.
Now that I’m in the United States, my goal is to contribute meaningfully to the local beauty industry. I want to show that manicure and pedicure services are more than just cosmetic — they are essential to people’s confidence, comfort, and quality of life. I’m passionate about introducing a safer, more thoughtful approach to nail care and helping raise the standard of what’s possible in our field.

Make Me Beauty is a European-style studio where I work as both the founder and an advanced pedicure specialist. We focus on thoughtful, personalized care — especially for clients with more complex foot and nail concerns — while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sterilization.
What sets us apart is our private format: every service takes place in a separate room. We also offer treatments in 4 or 6 hands to help clients save time — without sacrificing quality.
In addition to nail care, our team provides brow shaping, lash services, makeup, and hairstyling — especially for photoshoots and special events.
We also offer one-on-one masterclasses: I personally teach advanced manicure and pedicure techniques, while our makeup artist helps clients master their everyday look.
At Make Me Beauty, we believe beauty services should be clean, safe, and designed around real individual needs — not trends.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
There have been many people who played an important role in my journey. I’m especially grateful to every trainer and instructor I’ve learned from — their experience and guidance have helped me grow both personally and professionally.
But above all, I want to thank my husband. Even though he works in a completely different field and doesn’t understand the technical side of my profession, he has always believed in me. He motivates me simply through his trust and support. Whenever I’ve doubted myself — and I often have — he reminded me of what I’m capable of. His belief in me has been one of the most powerful forces behind everything I’ve accomplished.
