Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Wegner.
Hi Olivia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
In 2003, I moved from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Orlando for an internship at Sea World. At the same time, I started part-time as a Kilimanjaro Safari driver at Disney’s Animal Kingdom due to my love for animals.
Eventually, I worked my way up into theme park operations leadership at Walt Disney World working Epcot and Animal Kingdom.
Eventually, I moved into project management with the Animal, Science, and Environment team. During the pandemic, my position was eliminated, ending my 17-year career at Walt Disney World. Having been laid off, off helped me re-assess my direction and that’s when I decided to explore the world of travel. My husband put me in touch with two of his former Cast Members who met at the Jungle Cruise, got married, and started a successful travel agency, based out of Pittsburgh, Dreamers Do Travels, Inc.
Combining my expansive theme park knowledge and experience with my degree from UCF in Hospitality Management and my passion and love for travel in general embarked upon a new career path as a travel planner. Now specializing in all things Disney, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruiseline, Adventures by Disney, and Aulani a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii. As well as
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like everyone, there have been highs and lows in my journey.
As I reflect now, I never thought that I would be saying that I was laid off or lost my job at Disney. That said, I am convinced that I am in the right situation at the right time and wouldn’t be here without the past experiences that have given me the foundation needed to excel in this industry.

What I do is completely free to my clients. I help remove the stress and unknowns of planning a wide variety of vacations.
I specialize in Sandals and Beaches all-inclusive resorts, throughout the Caribbean, most cruise lines, and of course all things Disney which includes Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise line (personally sailing on 15 Disney cruises with my family).
Adventures by Disney and Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, What sets me apart is my intimate knowledge of the inter-workings of the Walt Disney World Resort along with loads of personal travel experience on Disney Cruises, traveling in the Caribbean and throughout much or Europe.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Attention to detail, great follow-through, and am friendly, I provide personal touches and willingness to go the extra mile.
A ton of traveling and visiting Disney with kids of all ages, plenty of personal travel throughout the U.S, Caribbean, and Europe, and vast experience with Disney Parks and Disney Cruise – — experience planning trips Disney vacations, including Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani in Hawaii, as well as Ski trips, Sandals and Beaches trips, other all-inclusive vacations throughout the Caribbean, a variety of Cruise lines and trips to Europe.
