Today we’d like to introduce you to Oviedo Veterinary Care + Emergency (Grace Rees).
Hi Oviedo Veterinary Care +, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Oviedo Veterinary Care + Emergency opened in the fall of 2017 with the goal of offering affordable, quality emergency veterinary care to clients and their pets all around Central Florida. Staying active in the community by servicing local 501c3 pet rescues, and offering comprehensive care ranging from wellness to emergency care, has remained our foundation over the past 8.5 years. Oviedo Veterinary Care + Emergency have been fortunate enough to have expanded across three locations over the years. We now have locations offering general practice care, urgent care and elective surgery, and finally a 24 hour emergency hospital capable of offering overnight hospitalization, soft-tissue emergency surgery, oxygen support, and so much more. With a team dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to our patients and their families; we hope to continue to grow from here.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Over the years, Oviedo Veterinary Care + Emergency has had to overcome some struggles. The opening of our second location was the first 24 hour establishment, and was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, we were able to finally open; and with this opening came new obstacles as we learned to navigate running a veterinary hospital during an international public health emergency. We learned much during this time of need and it made our company stronger as we remained open and dedicated to giving vital, quality care to pet owners and their beloved animals from all over Central Florida.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Oviedo Veterinary Care + Emergency?
Over the past 8.5 years Oviedo Vet Care + Emergency has been able to expand to not two, but three hospitals. Each offering different services, which sets us apart from most veterinary practices. Many veterinary ER’s are only able to offer emergency care. Or many primary care locations cannot hospitalize overnight and perform emergency services. We are unique in that we offer care ranging from new puppy and kitten appointments to emergency overnight hospitalization and surgery. We are here for any stage of your pet’s life and are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to as many pets as we can. All three of our locations are within minutes of each other, so if a sick visit requires more intense care, the transfer is seamless and as stress-free as possible. We are also here to support local veterinarians by taking emergency transfers and sending the pet’s back to their primary care once they have been discharged from our ER.
