Hi Patrick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

In the heart of Florida, a remarkable ACCSC Accredited institution has been making waves in the fitness industry for over 25 years. Led by Patrick Sherman, we are not just a school ;It’s a launchpad for personal training careers. Pat has dedicated his support to Veterans transitioning into civilian fitness careers. We pride our selves as being a Veteran owned and staffed educational facility. We not only provide career education to high school graduates looking for an alternative to traditional college we have all walks of life graduate our 600-hour HYFLEX learning program. Our comprehensive approach to higher education is meticulously designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills ,and confidence needed to excel in the Fitness industry Worldwide. Our learning approach is college theoretical content with hands-on experience in a real gym. This ensures that graduates are not just educated but truly qualified personal trainers to make a difference in peoples lives.
We help fund students futures with our many financial aid programs which are beneficial to fund students career education. our commitment to affordability underscores NPTI Florida’s dedication to helping the fitness future. After serving in the US Navy pat had a chance to serve as a defense contractor during desert storm for almost 10 years. Upon returning to the states he decided to give back and help as many veterans as possible with career education.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Owning your own business for over 25 years comes with many struggles and day to day adjustments. No two days are the same and you must learn to focus each and every day. First in last out mentality has always been my motto. You will not out work me. I believe this has been the main reason for NPTI Florida’s success. You are always working and creating in order to grow and stay up with the fitness industry. Having employees is always a challenging task. Trying to maintain work life balance for all is almost impossible. Covid-19 clearly changed the way we offered our programs as a LIVE hands on school. This is why we adjusted and developed a HYFLEX learning platform. This allows our students to have the flexibility in choosing the educational platform. They can come to class live or on-line based on their schedules and prior commitments. Our study from “Anywhere Anytime” has been a success post Covid.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I am born and raised in The Bronx (NY). Early 80’s was a different time as a child. Attended an all boys catholic High School and played hockey all 4 years. Had a solid work ethic since a young boy and worked in a German restaurant at the age of 12 until joining the Navy at 17 years of age.
