Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodolfo Hernandez Martinez. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Orlando Branch Manager at Pioneer Mortgage Funding, Inc.
One of four children in a single-parent household, Rodolfo Hernandez immigrated to the United States from Venezuela at a young age. His mother, a strong woman with an entrepreneurial spirit, delved into investment properties, and Rodolfo learned the real estate business from the ground up. He took a particular interest in financing and, after getting his mortgage’s license, built a professional network through tireless work and late nights at the office with one of Pioneer Mortgage Funding, Inc’s top-producing branch managers. He later became an independent mortgage loan officer with Pioneer Mortgage Funding, Inc, quickly becoming the youngest Top Producer in the corporation. Today, as manager of Pioneer Mortgage Funding’s Orlando branch, Rodolfo supervises a team of mortgage loan officers serving clients throughout Central Florida.
All of the professionals in his office are experts in mortgage programs, including FHA, Conventional, USDA, VA, Non-QM loans, and more. With access to a robust network of more than fifty lenders, Rodolfo’s team can put together the right mortgage package for almost any home buyer. But above all, Rodolfo keeps a special place in his heart for first-time home buyers. “They’re the best,” he says. “I love working with them, assuaging their fears, and seeing them achieve the ultimate dream of homeownership.”

Knowing first-hand the challenges of moving to a new country and raising a family, he especially enjoys empowering immigrants and helping single mothers realize the dream of owning their first homes.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been a lot of challenges, from being an immigrant with a deep accent, a “young kid,” and an industry where it feels like everybody has been in the business for 15 years plus and is kinda excluding you.
You must show people that you’re more than capable and better than others, lead with the actions you’re here to stay, and experience is not measured by years but should be measured by the volume and number of transactions closed.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m the “owner” of a branch for Pioneer Mortgage Company, Inc, where we are independent mortgage brokers with more than 53 lenders; we help borrowers prepare for a home purchase, we walk them through the entire financial process and teach them financial literacy for them to bring the best of themselves.
We are set apart for our service, we actually do care about each and every one of our borrowers; we do BBQs with them, meet their children, and even after closing, we help them with different financial decisions and personal decisions to help them grab the best opportunities and avoid mistakes which could be costly.
I’m a minority, and I’m really proud of helping my people, the Latinos in Orlando, doing different classes, having a radio show explaining financial literacy, and doing multiple communities services where my team and I always strive for these families not to make the same mistakes as our parents or ourselves did, we teach from what is a credit score to what credit cards I would personally recommend, how do they work, what to do to avoid fraud, how to be better in this country and achieve the American Dream.
We offer the whole package of a loan pre-approval, and even though we work on all types of residential loans, FHA, VA, Conventional, Bank Statements, No Income, No Assets, and work with multiple investors; however, what makes us fulfilled and happy is to help the first-time home buyers achieve their dream.
What’s next?
I plan to continue growing as a branch manager, teach what was taught to me from my mentors to new loan officers who have the same goal as me, and help and build a community that will be able to have a sense of financial freedom, an understanding of financial literacy, and be able to make an impact big enough people will listen and start doing.
Kids have a better life just because their parents understand that budgeting is essential, and investing might be better than saving.
