Hi She-She, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a child watching my mother work hard to provide for myself and 5 brothers is what motivated me to start Sheshoetique. Sheshoetique is an online boutique which inventory consists of accessories, purses, and you guessed it.. SHOES! For me, the right pair of earrings or heels can take you from bland to glam. My style has always been simple, however my purse, shoes, and jewelry will make a statement. I allow the accessories to accentuate my style.
At the moment Sheshoetique caters to women and men, but I plan to cater to youth in the near future. Sheshoetique is long term for me, as it has inspired me to possibly start other businesses, & motivated me to go back to school to obtain my Bachelors in Business Administration,
I started Sheshoetique with a mustard seed of faith, less than 10 items. & little knowledge of being an entrepreneur. Almost four years later and she’s still here. The future is bright for Sheshoetique, stay tuned.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ha, I have to be a full time mother, student, work a full time job, and still find the time and energy to put into Sheshoetique. It has not been a smooth road at all! I have wanted to throw in the towel on multiple occasions when trodding the road of entrepreneurship. There many struggles that I have endured, but didn’t let them deter me from doing my best. I struggled with accepting the people closest to me not being my biggest supporters. There were times I struggled with putting up money for savings or investing in inventory. Honestly, self doubt was and still is the biggest struggle to overcome because I’m my worst critic, but I remind myself that failure isn’t an option.
We’ve been impressed with Sheshoetique , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I would always sneak off to school in my mothers pretty tops, jewelry, leather coats and skirts. My clothes were too boring and I didn’t like wearing what everyone else had on. I wanted to be cute, stylish, and stand out. As I got older I would sneak off with her (my mothers) heels and dresses, my mom would be annoyed every time. Accessorizing and a nice pair of shoes have always sparked my interest growing up. That saying “I make shoe contact before eye contact” is me.
