Hidden Gems: Meet Simone McFarlane-Tucker of Glamour Tag Consultation Services, LLC and Girls Leave A Mark, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone McFarlane-Tucker.

Hi Simone, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is one of faith, perseverance, and purpose. I didn’t begin with privilege or a plan — I began as a sixteen-year-old girl trying to navigate motherhood, life, and survival. By nineteen, I had two children, more responsibility than I was prepared for, and a fire inside me that refused to die. I’ve been homeless, heartbroken, and overlooked — but I’ve also been unshakable. Every trial became a steppingstone, every setback a lesson in strength.

I started wherever opportunity would take me — Wendy’s, call centers, and customer service jobs — determined to create a better life for my children. My breakthrough came when I landed a position at GEICO, where I became a licensed claims adjuster. GEICO helped fund my associate degree in Liberal Arts from Polk State College, and later, Progressive Insurance supported me as I completed my bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Supervision at Polk State through scholarships and employer programs. From there, I went on to personally fund my master’s degree in Business Management and Leadership from Western Governors University — a promise to myself that I would never stop learning, no matter how hard it got.

What started as survival transformed into service. I founded Glamour Tag Consultation Services, LLC, a business development firm that helps entrepreneurs launch and scale with clarity, confidence, and strategy. Through this company, I’ve coached and mentored over 100 business owners and entrepreneurs and taught more than 75 classes on business, branding, marketing, notary work, travel, and financial literacy. Watching people turn their ideas into income has become one of my greatest joys.

That same passion for empowerment led to the creation of Girls Leave A Mark, Inc., my nonprofit dedicated to helping teen mothers and at-risk youth. I built the organization I wish had existed for me at sixteen — a place of hope, mentorship, and opportunity. Through GLAM, we provide workshops, career development, and life skills training that help young women thrive personally and professionally.

In 2025, I expanded my mission again by launching G.L.A.M. Financial Legacy Group, where we teach families how to protect, grow, and pass down generational wealth. My motto is simple — we’re helping families move “from GoFundMe to generational wealth.” Through financial education, life insurance, and entrepreneurship, we’re changing how our communities view money and legacy.

Today, I stand as a wife, mother of 4, businesswoman, and community leader who has turned pain into purpose and faith into freedom. Every degree, every business, every class I teach is part of a greater mission — to empower others to break cycles, build wealth, and leave their mark on the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth? Not at all — but every bump built me.

My journey has been anything but easy. I became a mother at sixteen, juggling diapers and dreams while the world whispered that I’d never make it. By nineteen, I was raising two children on my own, working multiple jobs, and trying to finish school. I’ve faced eviction, slept in my car, and spent nights wondering how I’d feed my kids. There were times I felt invisible — but even then, God was building something in me that I couldn’t yet see.

There were professional challenges too. I’ve been wrongly accused at jobs, overlooked for promotions I earned, and had to start over more times than I can count. I’ve been told “no” by people I helped say “yes” to their own dreams. But each setback taught me how to create my own opportunities instead of waiting for permission.

As an entrepreneur, there were seasons where my bank account and my belief didn’t match. I learned to balance business and motherhood, to show up with excellence even when exhausted, and to lead teams while still learning myself.

But through every storm, I refused to quit. The struggles became my strategy. The pain became my platform. And the obstacles became the foundation for everything I’ve built — Glamour Tag Consultation Services, Girls Leave A Mark, and G.L.A.M. Financial Legacy Group.

Now, when I look back, I don’t see struggle — I see preparation. God didn’t make my path easy; He made it necessary.

We’ve been impressed with Glamour Tag Consultation Services, LLC and Girls Leave A Mark, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I’ve built isn’t just a business — it’s a movement. Every brand under the G.L.A.M. umbrella was created with one mission in mind: to empower people to build, believe, and become more.

Glamour Tag Consultation Services, LLC is the heartbeat of my entrepreneurial journey. It’s a business development firm where we help entrepreneurs launch, brand, and scale with clarity and confidence. We specialize in start-up consulting, business strategy, notary training, and travel agency development. Through this platform, I’ve coached and mentored over 100 business owners and entrepreneurs, teaching more than 75 classes on topics like branding, marketing, business structure, and financial literacy. What sets Glamour Tag apart is that we don’t just help people start businesses — we help them build legacies. Every client receives guidance rooted in purpose, professionalism, and proven results.

Girls Leave A Mark, Inc., my 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was birthed from my own story as a teen mom. We focus on empowering teen mothers and at-risk youth through workshops, mentorship, and life-skills training. We’ve partnered with schools and community organizations across Polk County to host career development sessions, confidence-building workshops, and youth empowerment programs. What makes GLAM unique is that it’s not charity work — it’s legacy work. We’re showing young women that their circumstances do not define their capacity.

G.L.A.M. Financial Legacy Group is my newest division, where we teach families how to protect, grow, and pass down wealth. We focus on financial literacy, life insurance, annuities, and debt solutions — helping families move from “GoFundMe to generational wealth.” What sets us apart is our heart. We educate with empathy and lead with impact, making financial education simple, relatable, and life-changing.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that everything I’ve built connects back to purpose. Glamour Tag is about building businesses, Girls Leave A Mark is about building confidence, and G.L.A.M. Financial Legacy is about building wealth. Together, they form an ecosystem of empowerment that helps individuals grow personally, professionally, and financially.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this — I’m not just building brands; I’m building bridges. Every class, every consultation, every conversation is designed to help someone turn their pain into power and their dreams into a legacy that lasts.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
If I could give one piece of advice to anyone just starting out, it would be this: don’t wait until you feel ready — start where you are, with what you have, and trust that you’ll grow along the way.

When I first started, I thought I needed perfection — the perfect timing, the perfect plan, the perfect confidence. But the truth is, clarity comes through movement. Every “yes” I said in faith led me closer to purpose.

Entrepreneurship, leadership, and legacy-building are not easy roads. You’ll doubt yourself. You’ll lose people you thought would support you. You’ll question if it’s worth it — and that’s when you remind yourself why you started. Don’t measure your success by someone else’s timeline. Measure it by your consistency, your character, and your capacity to keep going even when it’s hard.

I wish someone had told me earlier that failure isn’t final — it’s feedback. That your journey will require you to heal, grow, and stretch in ways you didn’t expect. And that rest is not weakness; it’s part of the process.

So to the dreamers, builders, and believers — keep your faith stronger than your fear. Learn as you go, stay coachable, and don’t let temporary discomfort make you forfeit a permanent calling. You’re not just building a business — you’re building a legacy.
