Hi Tim, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Being of Caribbean descent, I grew up with good food – rice, macaroni and cheese, oxtail, lots of chicken… you name it. My family cooked often, so we ate often and those around us had similar eating habits. As I grew into my adult life, I layered in alcohol and smoking and before we knew it, we started to see the effects of the bad habits in those closest to us, witnessing heart attacks, seizures, cancer scares, and all the prescribed medicine that came with it.
In 2018, after several life-changing phone calls had been made, I wanted to make a change – not only for himself but also for those around me – and prescription medicine wasn’t the answer. I turned to herbs and herbal medicines for preventative care to help build his immune system and situational care to help ‘medicate’ any sickness he felt. It quickly became a lifestyle, accompanied by fitness and healthy eating.
I want to live a healthy lifestyle to become the norm in our community. Not only do I want to provide easy access to herbs and natural products, but I want to also create a vibe for anyone to walk through our doors and feel welcomed – not judged – and comfortable enough to talk, hang out and educate themselves on herbs and what they do for the body.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, I’ve truly been blessed with everything falling into place. From finding the place to partnering with contractors and other businesses, to opening. It’s been great.

Natural Vibez opened in December 2021 and offers loose herbs, roots, spices, custom tea blends, sea moss gel, essential oils, and tinctures. We also offer crystals and smudging supplies, and a wide variety of skin and body products – everything pure and natural for the Orlando community.
