Today we’d like to introduce you to Vinicius Marmo.
Hi Vinicius, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Brasília, the federal capital of Brazil, in 1989. I lived in Rio de Janeiro, and currently, since 2022, I have lived in Orlando, Florida, with my family. He graduated in social communication with an emphasis on Advertising; he has specializations and courses in cinema and photography.
My first contact with digital cameras was in 2003, the famous 3.2-megapixel cyber-shots, where I took photographs as a hobby. I’ve had the opportunity to use camera models such as 12-megapixel Sony, Nikon D3200, D7200, D750, and Z6II. Currently, I work with the D750 and Z6II.
I started my professional career as a communications intern at a bank based in Brazil. Then, I decided to open my own business called BRASILIA DEVILERY for 3 years. During this period, I already worked with photography, taking photos to promote my company’s products and businesses on social media and marketing. I have always been passionate about photography and decided to sell my own business and try a career in the field. During this period, I chose to live in Rio de Janeiro in search of professional growth in photography in 2016. During this period, Vinicius worked with major brands from national and international companies, Brazilian artists, nature and sports photography, and family shoots. He had the opportunity to work at the company TV GLOBO, focused on the audiovisual area and image capture. Still in Brazil, I worked with major car drivers in the motorsport segment, such as Stock Car, Stock Series, and TCR South America, always capturing beautiful photos of the cars and their drivers in movement on the tracks.
Photography came into my life initially as a hobby, and nowadays, I have it as my primary source of income. I started my career with the niche of photography in 2010, focused on products; at the same time, I specialized in family and corporate shoots, opening doors to several other areas of activity and passions, such as nature, events, sports, and motorsport. I am a professional with over 13 years of experience in the photography segment. In Orlando, active since 2022, with the photography segment of corporate and advertising events, fairs and schools, artistic shows, professional portraits, family shoots, birthday parties, and beautiful shoots at Disney and Universal parks. Since then, he has had several valuable professional opportunities, which he has significantly developed, being recognized as one of the great professional quality photographers in the region.
His photographic images have already been published in several books and magazines in Brazil and have also been displayed internationally on billboards such as in Times Square – NY, in books by major authors, magazines, and newspapers, and on websites and Instagram of various companies. Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every beginning has challenges, and thinking that it will be easy or you won’t be able to fulfill or achieve your dreams is the main mistake. First, you need to believe in yourself to take the first step. It is not a smooth path and is still far from being so. But when people leave their initial comfort zone, they strive to do things differently and take those first steps. When I decided to go my own business and follow my gift for photography, I believed that I would be the best in the field in my best version of living my professional life. And that’s how it all began. In Brazil, I already gave my best at work, and it was no different when my family and I decided to stay in Orlando. My main focus has always been to focus on my photography career and grow and be recognized. We know that at the beginning, you still don’t know anyone and need to understand better the market, your competitors, customers, and partners. You need to do a lot of networking, exchange experiences with other photographers in the area who already work in the market, and start in some way.
You have to show your face and go after it. Little by little, things start to happen, and opportunities arise. Today, in 1 and a half years in America, I have already achieved many exciting things, thank God. Today, I am increasingly consolidating my work brand, which is my own company, VINICIUS MARMO PHOTOGRAPHER. Responding directly to the question about some fights, I want to highlight that investing in various state-of-the-art equipment to improve my work further was part of it for me. Anyone in the area knows that the equipment is costly and, when you arrive, you still need more work to pay this investment bill. But I fought, and I succeeded. Today, I have excellent quality equipment.

My company and brand is called Vinicius Marmo, started in 2012 in Brasília, Brazil. I had two businesses of my own: my drinks delivery company, called Brasília Delivery, and my photography brand. In 2015, when I moved to Rio de Janeiro, I focused exclusively on my photography career and became exclusive with this business in my company, VINICIUS MARMO FOTÓGRAFO. I started with a niche in product photography and advertising campaigns; at the same time, I specialized in family and professional shoots, which opened doors to several other areas of activity and passions, such as nature, events, sports, and motorsport. I’ve worked with big brands from national and international companies, Brazilian artists, and photos focused on nature and sports. For 2 years, I focused on automobile photography following car racing drivers within Brazil and some South American countries. Today in Orlando, I have stood out for my commitment and professionalism in the work performed, with the main focus being attention and empathy for each client, understanding their needs and exclusivity, regardless of the number of hours of service contracted. I have a niche in photography for advertising, events, fairs, artistic shows, birthday parties, weddings, corporate photos, and beautiful and magical photos at Disney and Universal parks. Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is going out to play football and riding my bike. Another curiosity and childhood memory that I carry with me is my collection of miniature cars. I have a lot of cars from when I was a child that my children play with today, too.
