Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my esthetician journey in 2019, diving into the world of beauty and self-care through facials and waxing. Over time, I discovered my true passion for hair removal. After one year of traditional waxing, I stumbled upon sugaring and was instantly captivated by its natural and effective approach. What started as a home-based business soon blossomed into Sweet Honey Sugaring, now with two locations: one in Orange City inside the Maverick Studio and another in Winter Park at Salon Lofts. Sweet Honey Sugaring is more than just about hair removal, it’s a body-positivity studio designed to help clients embrace self-love and confidence. Here, everyone is invited to feel their best, both inside and out, and to walk out of the studio glowing with confidence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any other business, Sweet Honey Sugaring has faced its share of challenges, from finding the perfect location to building a loyal clientele. However, the quality of our services, combined with our consistent and engaging social media presence, has allowed us to grow and thrive. Each happy client and each captivating post has helped spread the word, making this journey a truly rewarding one.

At Sweet Honey Sugaring, we take immense pride in our guaranteed results and deep knowledge of our products and techniques. Sugaring is a natural hair removal method that uses a simple blend of sugar, lemon, and water to remove hair while exfoliating the skin. We ensure that every client feels comfortable, confident, and beautiful throughout their experience. Our studio is a safe, welcoming space that focuses on body positivity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of body shape, can enjoy the benefits of sugaring. For us, it’s not just about the amazing results, but also about creating a space where everyone leaves feeling their absolute best.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been lucky to have two amazing mentors on my journey. Leicha Hernandez, the owner of The Maverick Studio, has provided invaluable advice and unwavering support from the very beginning. She’s not only shared her wisdom and business experience, but she’s also constantly looked out for me,offering encouragement, checking in during tough moments, and reminding me of my worth even when I doubted it myself. Her presence has been a true anchor in my growth.
Another wonderful mentor is my sister, Yadi Nieves, who has been a lifelong inspiration to me. From running her own dance studios to becoming an independent filmmaker and now working as a stunt coordinator in Hollywood, she has shown me the power of persistence, discipline, and never giving up on your dreams.
I’m deeply grateful to have such strong, empowering women guiding and cheering me on. Their belief in me has helped shape who I am today, and I carry their lessons with me every step of the way.
