Hi Sean, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Howdy World! Ryan and Sean here, we are just a couple of best friends that met as college roommates at UCF (Go Knights!). Collectively, we have 20 years of experience across the hospitality and events industry, with a side hobby of enjoying tasty beverages! When we came across Kombi Keg we were immediately sold on bringing the experience to our hometown of Orlando. Our mission is to deliver a unique and memorable experience for your next special event or occasion. Not only will you get a one-of-a-kind interactive mobile bar, but we’ll help set up those Instagram-worthy moments as well. 🙂
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We received our van around Halloween in 2019, so we were really just getting off the ground when covid hit. It obviously took the wind out of our sails, but we are really seeing the industry bounce back over the past couple of months. Besides that, the other big challenge that we deal with on a regular basis is that we are operating a vintage vehicle, so it doesn’t always work perfectly!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Kombi Keg Orlando, we provide the iconic vintage VW Kombi Keg van, deliver the icy cold kegs and the makings of a perfect event – all you have to do is tell us the location. Kombi Keg is a unique mobile bar with six beer taps and a chilled trunk for wine, soft drinks, and spirits. The Kombi Keg is also equipped with a LED TV to display your choice of media and lights for added effect. Your guests can have the novelty of pouring their own beverages, or alternatively, you can hire a bartender or we can work with your caterer to be on hand to pour for you; and once the party is over, we just pack up and drive out. It’s that simple.
What’s next?
We are just looking forward to the continued recovery of the events industry over the next couple of years. We would love to become a staple in the wedding scene, as we think we are a perfect fit for any outdoor wedding in Florida, and we also would love to get more involved in the convention centers for exhibitors as a fun draw to bring folks into their booths, free beer!
