Hi Aisha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
On December 27, 2013, I was excited about heading into my doctor’s visit. It was 9 days until my baby boy would arrive. My daughter was so excited to have a sibling and I was happy to get my boy. God had other plans. Upon getting checked out, there was no heartbeat. My doctor checked again and nothing. My whole world and the next 3 years would end up being a blur. I remember going to the hospital and leaving empty. I remember hearing the doctor say “Oh, that’s what happen”. My son, my CJ was wrapped in the umbilical cord from head to toe. I was not ready. My mother and stepsister were brave enough to go take pictures of him for me as I declined to hold him. I did not want that to be the last memory I had of my son. His dad cried and still does. His second son was gone. How can I help him cope, help my daughter and myself? I could not. I spent the next 2 years living a life not fit for anyone. I did not care about myself and made some bad mistakes. How did I get here was all I could ask myself?!
With 20years in Healthcare, I knew at this moment I needed to make my own way. This life changing event left me with a felony on my record for making a choice at the lowest point in my life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh no!! Owning your own business in never easy but I am up to the challenge. I just lost 2 clients because someone sent them my background after I posted they were my clients. I get this felony removed off my record Nov 8, 2022 and can not wait!! It has been a 7year fit and I am ready to put this behind me! I did start my Non Profit to help other women who go through child lost.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Now….Life makes me happy. Until I lost my son, I did not realize how much of life I was not living. After he passed, I went back to school, invested more time into myself, started my business and non profit. I would of never done these things had I not realized how precious life is.
