Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Nichole Butler

Hi Amber Nichole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started baking for family and friends at the age of 10. I would experiment in the kitchen with cheesecakes, cupcakes, brownies and cakes. Although my dream has always been to open a bakery, I was only baking as a hobby, and ventured into a different lane. In 2022, I decided to leave my career in real estate, move to Florida from Louisiana, and pursue my passion for baking full-time. I moved to Miami and started Amber Nichole’s Bakery. After 2 years in Miami, I entered culinary school, and landed my dream job at Walt Disney World in pastry taking me to Orlando, I am now currently running a home based bakery, Amber Nichole’s Dessert Cafe. My hope is to one day be a brick and mortar bakery in Orlando serving pastries and coffee.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There were roadblocks along the way, mainly internal. I was taking a leap of faith and stepping into a new city with a new career. I had no idea how everything was going to work out but I knew it was going to work. The biggest lesson I’ve been learning through this journey is that consistently will take you further than talent alone. Starting a business in a new city can be very intimidating so with that being said, while being confident in my skills and talent, I have to remind myself that consistency will get me to the next level.

We’ve been impressed with Amber Nichole’s Dessert Cafe , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My name is Amber Nichole and I am the owner and pastry chef of Amber Nichole’s Dessert Cafe. I am a Louisiana native who’s now living in Orlando pursuing my passion as a professional pastry chef. I offer homemade gourmet baked goods from beignets, cakes, pralines, cookies, cheesecakes and more. I embrace my Louisiana culture through my business making me stand out in this market. I take pride in serving authentic desserts made with high quality ingredients.

What does success mean to you?
Success for me is sitting in answered prayers, anticipating the journey, while being grateful for every moment. It is staying true to myself and not allowing limiting beliefs to dictate how I flow through life.
