Inspiring Conversations with Bobby Davidowitz of The Alliance Group at EXP Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Davidowitz.

Bobby Davidowitz

Bobby, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in Puerto Rico and I moved with my family to Central Florida when I was 5 years old. I’ve been here ever since. I grew up in Lake Mary, FL where I excelled as a student athlete. I played 9 years of organized football all the way through highschool earning all-conference honors as a wide receiver. I was also a state finalist in weightlifting. I attribute a lot of my personal growth, mindset, and work ethic to sports. This is why I have built my brand in business around sports themes. In the real estate industry I go by Coach Bobby Franchise with my tag line being “Developing Franchise Players in the Real Estate Game.” After highschool I attended University of Florida and once again graduated with honors but in reality I was lost. I realized after gradutating that I had no plan. I couldn’t see myself getting excited about a job or even business in general. The only thing that excited me was music, acting, and the entertainment business. While pursuing my entertainment dreams I stumbled across the real estate industry at age 22. I began as a loan officer and then decided to open up my own mortgage company only a fews years later. I learned a ton being a new entrepreneur, mostly I learned that I didn’t know anything about being an entrepreneur…but I was in the game. After a decent 4 year run with the company and with a market crash looming, I went full time into the entertainment business trying to get my entertainment company off of the ground. After 7 years of some great accomplishments and not so great money I came to a realization that I wasn’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make it in that industry and I had lost some of my passion for the industry itself. I knew it was time to pivot and realign with my goal of financial freedom. I also knew that I could use my talent and creativity in business just like I did in entertainment. That’s when real estate came calling back, literally. I received a call from a friend out of the blue and it led me back to the real estate game. I started on the real estate investing side of sales and moved into traditional real estate sales. I worked my way back up to being a top producer and soon after began coaching agents as the leader of our brokerage’s mentorship program. After 4 years of being back in real estate my real estate broker and I began talks of opening up a company together. This is when we were presented with the opportunity to grow a business on a real estate wealth building platform called EXP Realty. We began that adventure 5 years ago and now I run a real estate company with 950 real estate agents. EXP Realty also gave me the platform to elevate as a national speaker as well as a published author. I was featured in the recent Amazon bestselling book called Six Figure Agent. My focus now is on building an investment company called Investor Season LLC. This company is an investment consulting firm and Investor ecosystem focused on real estate, investing, and creative capital. It is my belief that God wants us all to be investors. He gives us three assets to invest; time, talent, and treasure. God’s ROI is the impact we make on others with those assets. It is our job to invest wisely:) www.bobbyfranchise.com

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think we all know the answer to this one. The reality is that smooth roads don’t make you better. I believe that similar to football, HITS ARE PART OF THE GAME. You can’t separate the hits from the game. Once you accept this, you begin to leverage every hit to make you better. When I first became an entrepreneur in the mortgage business I realized the challenges of running a business and managing people. It was not a smooth road. When the market crashed I also realized there are macro factors and bigger forces that can throw all your plans into chaos. You have to be prepared for those hits too. All that said, I’d say one of the major setbacks aka blessings that ever happened to me was filing bankruptcy at age 29. After leaving the mortgage industry and racking up debt to fund my entertainment dreams I found myself up against a wall. My home was under water and I wasn’t bringing in enough income to pay my debts. Bad combo. I made the decision to file bankruptcy. I remember those days like it was yesterday. Not because its a source of pain, but because its a source of pride. I made it back. It took me a while to recover my confidence but then I began building stronger and better. I would not be talking to you about building an investment company now if it wasn’t for the going through those times and learning the lessons on how to play the game smarter.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The best way to describe my company is “We are a personal development company that happens to do real estate.” We believe in personal growth, financial freedom, and making an impact on others. Real estate is simply a tool that we and our agents use to grow in those areas. We focus highly on coaching and developing agents through classes, bootcamps, and special events. (www.AllianceCalendar.com) We focus on building real estate entrepreneurs versus real estate agents. Our office alone did $450,000,000 in gross sales volume in 2023 which was considered to be the worst year in real estate in 40 years. Our goal in 2024 is to do $750,000,000 in sales. I am most proud of the leaders, speakers, and coaches that have grown up in our culture and now lead others to greatness. We are always looking to add great people to our culture and in particular I look for agents, aspiring agents, team leaders, and brokers who have an investor mindset. If that’s you, I would love to connect with you.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Faith. Faith is the fabric that runs through all great things and all great accomplishments. Understanding that God loves you and God’s got you, is the most important thing to have inside you especially when the storms come. And the storms are coming. Another characteristic is that I’m humble enough to know that “I don’t know what I don’t know.” I am an eternal student of the game and have an intense commitment to getting better every day.
