Inspiring Conversations with Breanna Marks of Fur Family Matters Pet Sitting LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Marks.

Hi Breanna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
When my 16th birthday came around I knew it was time to start looking for a job and as I went to an interview for a hostess at a small family owned restaurant I realized as I was there for my first shift it wasn’t what I wanted to do and I felt I could be more and do something more helpful to society. My parents always told me I can do anything and be anything I wanted to be if I try hard enough and the skies the limit. After some thought one night I decided to go onto my local Facebook community page and make a short post offering pet sitting and dog walking for others in the neighborhood to see if it sparked any interest and surprisingly that next day I had many messages from members of the community asking me if I could take care of their pets. After that one post business steadily came to me while I also was making great friends along the way. I am now 22 and continue to expand and grow and be the best business owner I can be for my clients and community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One struggle that was the hardest for me would have been when I got into a car accident and had my car totaled but still had to find a way to get to my clients homes for their animals. I ended up riding an e scooter to each house as I didn’t let having no car stop me from getting to those pets!

We’ve been impressed with Fur Family Matters Pet Sitting LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in drop in visits and walks at the owners homes for their furry children. I am licensed and insured and have been doing this for roughly 6 years now. I take pride in the trust my clients give me to be in their home and to care for their four legged kids while they are out of town. I am most proud of my branded name that I created myself after much research.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
How responsible, respectful, and trustworthy my character is as a person.
