Inspiring Conversations with Chef LeighM of ASoH Lifestyle LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef LeighM

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began with a passion for wellness and a deep belief that everyone deserves to live in alignment with “YOUR Version of Healthy.” As a nutritionist, speaker, and celebrity chef, I was inspired by the fact that healthy living isn’t a one-size-fits-all model but something that should be personalized to fit into each person’s life.

I started with a cafe in Atlanta, GA, where I focused on serving healthy, delicious meals. Over time, I transitioned into a catering-only business, providing services to large corporations like the City of Atlanta, Forest Park, GA, and Morris Brown College. In addition to catering, I worked with organizations like Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, offering corporate wellness, grocery shopping tips, and personalized guidance on how to integrate healthier habits into daily routines.

As I connected with more professionals, I quickly remembered how many were struggling to balance their demanding careers with maintaining a healthy lifestyle like I once did myself. This led me to develop “Your Version of Healthy,” a program designed specifically for busy professionals. Through this program, I’ve helped businesses build wellness strategies that align with their unique culture, reducing stress, burnout, and absenteeism. These strategies have saved corporations up to $3.1 million annually.

Now, I’m honored to work with large teams and companies, such as Home Depot Backyard, Walmart Health, and the Fulton County Teachers Association, providing wellness classes, leadership guidance, and practical resources to help them build a culture of health in the workplace. My focus is on helping others thrive by showing them how wellness can seamlessly become a part of their daily lives without feeling like a burden. All while still catering around the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but the challenges have been part of the growth and learning process. working for Corporate America In the beginning, then transitioning from a cafe in Atlanta to a catering business were some big leaps. It required learning how to manage large-scale operations, meet diverse client needs, and balance the business side of things while staying true to my passion for wellness and healthy eating.

One major struggle was understanding how to effectively cater to corporate clients while maintaining a personalized approach to health. Each company has a unique culture and wellness needs, which require me to constantly adapt and find new ways to provide value. I also faced the challenge of convincing some professionals that wellness is not just about a diet or fitness routine but about creating a holistic, sustainable lifestyle that fits into their busy schedules.

Building my “Your Version of Healthy” program was another hurdle. I had to be patient while refining the approach and proving to organizations that investing in their employees’ wellness was a worthwhile commitment. There were moments of doubt, especially when it seemed hard to quantify the immediate benefits of wellness programs, but seeing the long-term impact on companies—like saving millions annually and improving employee well-being—made it all worthwhile.

Ultimately, each struggle taught me something valuable and made the path clearer, allowing me to better serve both individuals and companies in their pursuit of a healthier life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Absolutely! Here’s some advice I’d share with anyone just starting out:

Start with your passion and purpose: It’s important to know why you’re doing what you’re doing. When you have a deep-rooted passion for something, it becomes much easier to overcome the inevitable challenges that will come your way. For me, that passion has always been helping others achieve their healthiest lives, and it’s what keeps me motivated.

Be patient with the process: Success doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. I wish I had known that in the early days. There will be setbacks, but each one is a lesson. Embrace the journey and trust that every step is part of the bigger picture.

Don’t be afraid to evolve: When I first started, I had a certain vision, but over time, I realized that adapting and changing in response to my clients’ needs was key. You’ll learn and grow as you go—stay flexible and willing to make adjustments to meet the demands of your audience or market.

Network and collaborate: Building relationships with others in your field and beyond can open doors and provide support when needed. I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with amazing organizations and professionals, which has expanded my reach and impact.

Consistency is key: Whether it’s showing up for your clients, consistently sharing your message, or working on your own personal growth, consistency is what builds trust and credibility. When I look back at where I started and how far I’ve come, it’s the steady effort over time that made all the difference.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help: I used to think I had to do everything myself, but I quickly realized that seeking advice or help from mentors, professionals, or colleagues is essential. Surround yourself with people who can offer guidance and hold you accountable.

Starting out can feel daunting, but with the right mindset, perseverance, and the willingness to learn and grow, you’ll find your path. Keep your vision clear, but be open to the unexpected opportunities that may come your way.
